RITA GOT "FLOCKED"
This lovely project was hand made by Linda Kincaid. Linda adhered the jingle all the way decor element in chocolate chip to the front of the frame. This is a 3 dimensional frame inside and Linda added 3 dimensional elements to the inside. Notice the bells, the beads, the wheat and the cardinal bird. The background paper is from the Christmas cocoa paper - flocked snowflake sheet. This really is great paper for holiday craft projects. If you can see up close in the photo above, this paper really has nice dimension. I think this was very clever of Linda to use the paper this way because many times we look at 12 by 12 paper and think we can only use it in a scrapbook. Here is the perfect example of using patterned paper for a project. I absolutely love this project.
Now opening this project really overwhelmed Rita and she was so happy and joyful with this gift. In fact, Rita's remarks upon opening this gift and sharing it were precious, leading to probably one of the greatest all time greatest moments for our stamping group. Rita opened her gift at the holiday party - and announced "OMG, I love birds" and the conversation went on about how gorgeous this project is and how Linda worked really hard to cut the bird in half to get it inside this beautiful frame. With all that conversation, Rita then went on to proudly announced that she had for once in a long time been "flocked!" and we all just burst into laughter.
And that became the joke of the evening! I just loved it!
Everyone looks on as Rita contemplates how she is flocked with joy over this project!
The project was passed around because everyone had to see this one up close.
Rita was so happy to get this gorgeous project.
