I had such a great time at my upline JANET WAKELAND's home last night.  My friend Lisa Chatterjee and I visited with Jan and a few other REMARKABLE team mates.  We made all kinds of cards using BRAND NEW SU!  I saw this card by AMY CELONA and cased it almost exactly.  I love that our large oval punch fits right inside the embossed oval and that all fits in the NEW framelits.  The colors from the SUMMER SMOOCHES collection are so cheerful.  This is a fabulous card.

Look how nice the satin seam binding in daffodil delight matches the paper.  Love this card!

Please consider supporting a REALLY GOOD CAUSE - the RONALD McDonald House.  SU! has been partnering with them to bring us great stamp sets that we can purchase that sends proceeds to this great charity.  Ronald McDonald House Charities help support families of children who have serious illnesses.  I'm really thrilled that I am a part of this great company SU! I truly believe in this charity as well.  This year the stamp set that benefits the charity is called MOVING FORWARD.  It is a really great whimsical all purpose set that you will find so many uses for.  Here's a look at some of the cards we made at BAGGIE BOOK day at JANET WAKELAND'S home.
I've used this stamp from the set before.  I think I love the bicycle the best, but then it's hard to choose between the flowers and the bird and the frog and oh, I just love all of it.  We die cut the gray card stock behind the image with the BIG SHOT framelits and embossed with the dots embossing folder.  The stitched ribbon accent is BRAND NEW RIBBON that you can purchase from SU! from the NEW IDEA BOOK. And, oh so cool...the mini silver brads fit perfectly to hold the spokes of the bicyle wheels together.
These are the components of the set above.  These are so cute, especially the squiggle above.  Stamp it with the frog and he can jump anywhere.
The card above is pretty clean and simple.  It uses our BRAND NEW designer paper and check out the center of the flower.  We have really cool NEW clear faceted buttons!  These are just the BEST.  Click on the card above to see it even closer!
The blimp is super cool.  I remember growing up.  You used to see these all the time in the sky during the summer months.  Nowadays, I think I only see them during football games.  I would love to take a ride in one of these some day.  Notice that the dsp is from the TWITTERPATED collection.  The happy birthday sentiment is stamped on our BRAND NEW punched duo ticket.  YES, we have a double ticket punch now!  This is a great punch!

Ticket Duo Punch 126883
Price: $15.95
Get your tickets! Coordinating shapes for layering and more.
This boat is just darling!  Again, we have used the miniature silver brads.  This time for the top of the sail.  We have also used the NEW dsp and a new sizzlet for the BIG SHOT called DELICATE DOILIES and also the congratulations banner is die cut with the NEW banner framelits!  These are amongst my favorite new items in the NEW SU! idea book!

Please help support this great cause.  You can purchase this stamp set until next May and you will still be helping the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

My good friend Cathy had to say goodbye to one of her beloved best friends.  It breaks my heart to hear that it's time for an animal to leave us.  Sometimes it's for the best to end suffering, but it's not easy on us humans who love them so much.  They truly mean the world to us.  I love my doggie Luigi so much. He brings me so much joy.  I know that Cathy is missing some of her joy right now with Codey in doggie heaven.  This is the card I made for her and sent her.  It uses the D is for DOG SU! stamp set that just recently retired.  I did use the NEW SU! ARGYLE embossing folder and the NEW framelits, however.  Note that the sentiment on the bottom I truly believe to be true - A DOG WAGS IT'S TAIL WITH IT'S HEART.  There is nothing better than coming home from a long day at work and having the dog greet you with a little dance and a joyously wagging heart.  Codey, rest up now.  Cathy will someday meet you running again in heaven's greenest fields.

Yesterday, I saw a post on another site with Santa Claus.  I had to read it.  It stated that there was exactly 6 months until Christmas (this was from 6/25).  I never seem to think of Christmas early until we hit July when all the craft stores start putting out the Christmas decorations for the crafters.  But it's true...we are now in the 6 month countdown until Christmas.  So appropriately, I'm going to share with you some cards I made for Baggie Book day at my upline Janet Wakeland's home.  They all use the stamp set in the SU! Idea Book called NO PEEKING.  This set is so adorable.  I see so many great ideas for this set.
This card could certainly be my general Christmas card this year.  The colors are traditional and the sentiment so cheery.  The green in this card - by the way - is the BRAND NEW in color GUMBALL GREEN.
This penguin really rocks!  I hand colored him with Janet's direction and he matches the card pretty well.  The black card stock is embossed with a BRAND NEW embossing folder for the BIG SHOT called DELICATE DESIGN.
This is one of the CUTEST tags ever!  The snowman is so cute.  The NO peeking sentiment is one of the sentiments in the set and for which the set is named.  I embossed the kraft card stock with the NEW ARGYLE embossing folder for the BIG SHOT.  Seriously, this tag might have to be made in multiples for Christmas gifts this year.  By the way, the snowman is heat embossed with white embossing powder and the heat gun.  DID YOU SEE THE BRAND NEW SU! HEAT TOOL with 2 SETTINGS!  SU! is the BEST!
Talk about cute..that's this adorable reindeer.  It looks like I didn't do a very good job photographing this card.  So Sorry. We did use the WOODGRAIN background stamp and also used the cherry red liquid glitter on the nose and scarf.  This would be great for the postal workers and utility workers to give with their holiday gifts

Now that it's official, I think I will start dreaming up some more great card ideas using Holiday and Christmas stamps.  If you are on my mailing list, you will soon receive the NEW SU!  HOLIDAY MINI.  Except  - it's NOT mini anymore.  We have a really NEW style that is 8.5 by 11. This new catalog is jam- packed with NEW items, including new framelits and matching stamps, new peppermint embossing powder (I'm so getting this), new punches, new ribbons, papers, stamps.  It will certainly feel like CHRISTMAS IN JULY when you get this mini.

I was away for the weekend celebrating my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and so I didn't get a chance to touch any rubber til this am.  Gosh...I was in serious withdrawal and it was only for 2 days.  Guess you all know how much I love to stamp!  So this am, I'm up before work and stamping away.

I knew I wanted to use EVERYTHING ELEANOR and PAPILLON POTPOURRI stamp set by SU! Next, I pulled my SU! COLOR COACH and decided to look for one of the NEW IN COLORS.  I found Primrose Petals and then matched up PRETTY IN PINK and OLD OLIVE.  I can't speak highly enough about the COLOR COACH.  If you don't have one, or even if you use colors other than SU!....this is the perfect tool to design card colors.  I love these together  Almost looks like watermelon and that so reminds me of SUMMER.

So this is the card I came up with.  I LOVE to use my BIG SHOT, so I took that out to emboss the card stock.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE our NEW embossing Folders!  Now, we have a BRAND NEW SU! BUTTERFLY punch, so after I stamped the butterfly in flowers, I punched it out.  I also punched the butterfly that is in the inside of the card.

This inside sentiment is from the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS stamp set by SU!  Going to mail this card off to my mother and let her know just how wonderful I thought our visit was.

We have some great NEW SU! sets and papers in the NEW IDEA BOOK by SU!  Have you gotten your copy yet?  If not email me or your local demonstrator to get one.

Here's a BRAND NEW card design using the NEW SU! stamp set POSTAGE DUE from the FAN FAIR collection.

I stamped the POSTAGE DUE large stamp using soft suede ink on Kraft card stock.  I love the vintage feel of this stamp set.  Next I stamped the happy birthday sentiment in basic black and die cut the banner with the NEW BANNER FRAMELITS.  And, NOTICE behind the NEW PUNCH butterflies the black tickets!  This is a BRAND NEW ticket punch!!!! Whahoo!  This is really cool.  I think this really is a great punch and a MUST HAVE for all crafters. OMG!  Can you imagine the cards and scrapbook pages and crafts you can create using this punch?  The BUTTERFLY is a BRAND NEW punch for SU! as well, and the NEW designer paper is one of our NEW IN COLORS called SUMMER STARFRUIT.  Pair all of this up with some linen thread and a pin and you have a great vintage card.

note:  this card was CASED from Janet Wakeland my upline at a recent Dreambuilder Event.

50 years of marriage!

Wow!  That is certainly an accomplishment in this day and age.  My parents have been together for over 50 years.  On June 23rd, 1962 they walked down the aisle officially as Dr. and Mrs. Anthony J. Pane.  Today, the family is celebrating that wedding date and the wonderful years they have been together.  They have 7 children, of which I am the oldest.  There are 10 grandchildren and 4 grand dogs!  They are a truly wonderful couple and God certainly blessed them over the years.  Today all of us will celebrate with an Anniversary Mass and then we are having a dinner with a presentation.  My parents will really enjoy this as they love sharing time with their children and grandchildren.

- 50 YEARS -

Here's the ANNIVERSARY CARD I made for my parents using the stamp set  MEMORABLE MOMENTS and gold card stock from SU!

I also did lots of embossing - dry embossing with SU! embossing folders for the BIG SHOT and also heat embossing the sentiment with Gold Glory embossing powder and a heat tool.

The inside sentiment was done using My Digital Studio.  The ink for the sentiment is soft suede although it's a little darker in this photograph.  I printed on pearlized paper and the background is SU! designer paper Mocha Morning from My Digital Studio as well.  I enclosed a letter from the heart that I wrote with this card, as well as a copy of the speech that my son JP is going to present at their dinner event tonight.

Do you have a wedding to go to or do you need to send a card for a wedding or anniversary?  Here's a NEW CARD I made at my upline's home (Janet Wakeland) -using the NEW MR. & MRS. stamp!

This card is so clean and simple and I love how the Mr. & Mrs. stamps on the envelope.  This card and matching envelope were done with soft suede classic ink.  The flower is actually a die - the BRAND NEW FLORAL FRAMES FRAMELITS.  We die cut the flower using kraft card stock and then embossed it with the NEW FANCY FAN embossing folder for the BIG SHOT.  Oh, and do you see the doily on top of the flower but underneath the label?  That is from another BRAND NEW Single stamp called GOSSAMER LACE.  SU! has a lot of different NEW single stamps.  So ..if you want single stamps that can be used in a variety of ways, make sure you check them out in the NEW book.  In the meantime, my parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary in a few days, I may put something in this card for them, or I'll save it for my brother's wedding.

I'm so excited!  SU! is getting ready to release MDS (My Digital Studio) 2.  Have you tried MDS yet?  Did you know there is a FREE 30 day trial going on?  Yes!  Try it!  Believe me - this is one of the Best programs for creating digitally and it's so easy.  If you own MDS already, MDS 2 is going to do so much more and I already think MDS does a lot.  One of the things you will be able to do is to color your stamps and embellishments,  HELLO!  yes, you will!  And this is HUGE in the digital world.

Check out the SNEAK PEEK here!

Click on the MDS 2 below.

I just can't wait for this NEW ADDITION.  SU! says it will be ready in the next few months.  You can be sure I'll be one of the first to download the new version.  And...THAT's WHAT's SO COOL about SU! MDS - you can have instant gratification.  You download right to your computer!

Here's a layout I did just now, all with SU! MDS.  My friend Sandi and I visited NYC with several of our friends and one of the things we wanted to do while there was go to BROADWAY.  We saw Brooke Shields in ADAMS FAMILY.  It was really great!  Here we are posing inside the theater.  SU! has some great digital papers and embellishments that worked really well with this photo.

Oh wow!  This is such a cool stamp set by SU!  It's called BOOTIFUL OCCASIONS.  There are 4 boots in the stamp set and some great sentiments.  One of the sentiments is Happy Boot day, another is Grab your broom, cast your spell and shake your Booty.   There are some other clever ones also.  This set rocks!!!! Here's a card I made at my upline Janet Wakeland's house at the Dreambuilder event I went to.

I love the saying on this one.  Notice that the designer paper in the background is wood?  It's a BRAND NEW embossed paper called NATURAL EMBOSSED COMPOSITION.  It's so cool.  You can color it too!  The real red paper is BRAND NEW designer paper called POLKA DOT PARADE.

Here's a look at what is included in this stamp set.  You will find it is a delightful set you will want to add to your collection.

You can never have too many pairs of fancy boots! Kick up your heels and wish someone a Happy Bootday with this fun-filled, five-piece set. Great for winter, spring, summer, or fall!

Ok y'all...Kick up your heels, now and start craftin!

As promised, here are the cards from my fellow stampin sistah's.  We had a really great day on Saturday - crafting and making cards and projects.   I already published the card I demonstrated - see this past Saturday's post.  I will post the projects later, but wanted to get the cards out.

First up is a really neat card demonstrated by Kathy Winland.  This card is a true winner! It's very easy to do and was a CASE from PINTEREST.  Did you know you can follow me on PINTEREST? (see right hand side bar). There are really cool craft ideas and cards I have pinned - that you will love.
All you do for this card is emboss it with the DOTS embossing folder for the BIG SHOT.  Then, randomly punch the BLOSSOM punch by SU!  Mount this to a piece of designer paper!  Here, we used FLORAL DISTRICT - my FAVORITE DSP by SU!  Kathy also embossed and die cut the buttons which are from the SWEET BUTTON EMBOSSLITS by SU!   I made this a sympathy card because I never have enough of them.

Here's a photo of Kathy after she cleverly stamped the envelope to my card (see this post).  We used the RONALD MCDONALD stamp set MOVING FORWARD and I LOVE how she stamped this FROG jumping!

NEXT...we had three cards using a BRAND NEW stamp set that will BE EXCLUSIVE in JULY only and GUESS will only COST $5 with purchase.  It's called REASON TO SMILE and it can be purchased in wood mount or clear mount.  Even though the set is not out just yet (demonstrators can pre-purchase it to make samples), I want to give you a sneak peek! You will be ready for July!

FIRST's a really cool card by SANDI HAERTIG!  I love her color choice.  She stamped some of the flowers tone on tone with kraft ink on kraft card stock.   Next, she used some of our BRAND NEW IN COLORS - Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Gumball Green to stamp the flowers.  Some of the flowers on the whisper white card stock are in kraft (tiny small ones - love this!!!!).  The card stock midnight muse is first embossed with the NEW DELICATE DESIGNS FOLDERS - these are GORGEOUS!  Next she had us tear some of the card stock away.  The little tags are stamped with the stamp set TINY TAGS and punched out with the tiny tag punch.  These are tied to the gumball green stitched satin ribbon which is BRAND NEW with SU! LINEN THREAD.

We also stamped our envelope and the inside of the card.  The sentiment is from a RETIRED stamp set by SU! which interestingly has the same name.  Goes well.  Good choice Sandi!
This is a photo of Sandi and Hsiao hui crafting.  Sandi is on the left and Hsiao hui is on the right.  Sandi injured her wrist a few days before our crafting event and was really bothering her.  She was a true friend, prepping a card for all of us and making sure we had cool things to do!  She made out ok, even though it hurt.

This next card was designed by Lisa Chatterjee.  I think the colors are great.  And Lisa cleverly did the layered labels using the brand NEW FRAMELITS for SU! called Apothecary Accents.
If you own a BIG SHOT - I'm going to encourage you to get the BRAND NEW APOTHECARY ACCENTS FRAMELITS.  These are amazing!  I have been using them so much now and I am loving the ease at which they cut, and because they are wafer thin...they store so easily too.  The sizzix dies are thick because they cut out something like 100 different materials including thin wood, steel, cloth, felt, etc.  The framelits are mostly meant for paper.  This layered look is really "in" now.
The picture below is what is included in the set and they do coordinate with many of our stamps.

See what you're cutting with Framelits dies. Use with the Big Shot, Standard Cutting Pads, and the Multipurpose Platform. Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies are designed to cut images from World Treasures Stamp Set and Layered Labels Stamp Set. 4 dies (largest: 4-7/8" x 2-3/4"). Cuts a single sheet of paper.

Here is a photo of Lisa working on a project that I'm going to show in another post.
The last of the 3 cards using REASON TO SMILE Promotion stamp set is actually a gift card holder that was designed by Arleen Graham.

This is a card with the flap on top that goes behind the stamped image of the flower.  We used Calypso Coral as the main color here and the patterned stamped image on the flap is stamped in the coordinating ink color.  It is from the stamp set SUMMER SILHOUETTES.  This is a BRAND NEW stamp set in the idea book.
A gift card and note goes inside. And look below...inside the holder for the gift card and note is actually an envelope that was sealed and then cut on one end, then pinched together and adhered.  Very cool Arleen!
Although not shown in this post, Arleen made us each an envelope to put the gift card holder in.  She used the NEW SCORING TOOL and made her own envelopes from vellum.

Here's a photo of Arleen holding up her gift card before she flipped the flap under. (hmm...try saying that 6 times!)
Lastly, for cards, Hsiao-hui used the NEW PAPILLION POTPOURRI stamp set and the BRAND NEW SU! BUTTERFLY PUNCH. This punch is a MUST HAVE!!! and then of course, you MUST get the coordinating stamp set.
I think that tiny SU! pearls would look wonderful and elegant on the butterfly.  Note that Hsiao hui used TWITTERPATED designer paper on the card and it is such a beautiful and delicate pattern.  She used the NEW EDGLITS to cut the beautiful edge on the top of the card and note that the baja breeze card stock is embossed with the FANCY FAN embossing folder which is NEW and EXCLUSIVE to SU!

Hsiao-hui's card is another card that uses a flap.  The butterfly acts to hold the top flap in place and keep the card closed.  Here's what the card looks like inside.  Hsiao-hui used the NEW stamp set BETSY's BLOSSOMS inside and also die cut the banner from the NEW BANNER FRAMELITS - another MUST HAVE from SU!  Banners are really "in" as well.

Hsiao hui had us color the flowers and bird and leaves with our NEW IN COLOR MARKERS from SU!  I am really falling "in love" with these NEW colors.

Here is the coordinating envelope.

Lots of great NEW products from SU!  I feel so lucky to share them with these lovely ladies of the Stampin Sistah's.  Projects will be in a future post!
