RECREATING MY BALTIMORE HON SELF FOR HALLOWEEN

Oops, almost forgot to include me on Halloween.  I recreated myself as a Baltimore Hon.

ROCKY BALBOA and ROCKY JR for HALLOWEEN 2011

I shared Luigi earlier today.  Now it is time to share JP and daddy!  Rocky and Little Rocky!
These 2 rocked the neighborhood!  Between the two of them and Luigi in costume - they were a big hit!

LUIGI IS READY FOR TRICK OR TREAT

Here are some photos of my adorable doggie Luigi in his costume.  We are getting ready for Trick or Treat!
Don't you love his costume?  It says BOO on the back with a ghost!
Luigi looks like a wizard here.  I just need to get him a doggie magic wand!
Luigi is practicing his midnight 'HOWL!"

HAPPY HALLOWEEN ! Corrected Card!

Time to Trick or Treat!  Have a Great Halloween Everyone!
Here's an MDS card.  I made it super quick.  In fact when I posted it the other day, I posted an
incorrect version.  On the last one, I put the crochet trim tie behind the trim going across the page.
I didn't notice it until late yesterday. So...here is another attempt at the same card.  But... guess
what?  It only took me 2 minutes to fix and part of that was just waiting to export the card so I could
upload it to my blog.

Be careful of the ghosts and goblins!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN CARD CASED

I CASED this Halloween Card from Connie Babbert!  Love it!  I made 16 of these cards and finished about 6 of them.  They take awhile. I'm just sending them to family, even though I'm going to see them this weekend for my niece's Confirmation. Always nice to get colorful snail mail however.
I used several new items from the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog!
The stamp sets I used are Out on a Limb and the wheel Halloween Hang Ups!  I also used the designer paper Pick Your Poison! And...I tried out the NEW Simply Scored Scoring Tool!  Love it!  It made the folds in the designer paper really easy!   The brads are basic black glimmer brads!  And finally, I die cut Timeless Type sizzlet letters from the silver glimmer paper.  Oh, this paper is incredible.  The BEST I have ever seen.  There are no gaps in this paper and the glitter doesn't flake off.  This is the real deal, no fake imitation glitter paper here!

MORE RH RETREAT FUN - ANGELS AMONG US!

The Theme of the Remarkable Hot Retreat Weekend was Angels.  Janet and her angels were appropriately dressed for our formal dinner Saturday night.  They were such divine and heavenly hostesses.
Janet had the most wonderful long curled eyelashes.  Perfect for the lead angel.
From left to right - Linda Nagle, Missy Bollinger, Deb Lehigh, Janet Wakeland.
Love their wings!!!
Click on photo to see it larger.

Everyone who attended the dinner received their own halo.  Some of us truly deserved the title of angel.  others, hmmm!!!!

Pictured here are the following angels... top row from left to right: Hsiao-hui Lin, Lisa Chatterjee, Maria Pane, Sandi Haertig.  Bottom row from left to right...Linda Kincaid, Deb Lehigh and Linda Nagle.

SU! SPICE CAKE SCRAPBOOK PAGE - FROM RH RETREAT

I LOVE The Remarkable Hot Retreat the my upline JANET WAKELAND sponsors twice a year.  I just went to the retreat this past weekend.  Each day there are 2 make and takes, usually one of them is a scrapbook page.  This go round, Janet totally outdid herself with the designs.  I LOVE this page.  It uses a variety of our NEW SU! Spice Cake designer paper.  I can't get enough of that paper. Might just have to do some stocking up!  Hsiao-hui made a great page of her child and her doggie and I had this great photo of Luigi, so I sort of CASED her.  I really love this photo of Luigi.  We affectionately call him WOO WOO!
Here's the page unframed.  Note the bottom left hand corner - WITH LOVE - that's embossed with teal embossing powder by SU!  Linda Kincaid went ga ga over that powder.  I did too!  The stamp is from Hand Penned Holidays.  Love it!  Sorry I have a flash reflection on Luigi.

Here's the picture framed!

The page also uses our new vanilla velvet ribbon, pool party ribbon, and our new large buttons.  I'm so excited about these NEW accessories!

$880 RAISED FOR THE BCRF AND A SEASON OF FRIENDSHIP CARD

AND NOW DRUMROLL PLEASE!  My team mates and I have raised $880 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  We join SU! in contributing to this great cause.  Thanks all and Thanks SU!

Have you seen this stamp set done so many different wonderful ways?  I think I've seen this tree stamped and decorated for every season.  I have even seen this tree decorated with pink ribbons for Breast Cancer Awareness.  I wanted to case that card for a long time.  My team mate Hsiao-hui Lin made a card very similar to this.  I went ahead and copied but used some epoxy type ribbon stickers.  I love the results.  I have sent this card now to a couple of survivors.  I really like it.

I stamped the tree on glossy white card stock by SU!  I like the results.  I also used the words from strength and hope stamp set.
And this card is just a slightly different version.  After our tree display a few posts down, we are all about making cards for the cause!  I love the ribbons, which by the way - were given to me by my dear friend Lisa Chatterjee.  Thanks Lisa!

TREE OF HOPE - REMARKABLE HOT RETREAT

This weekend was our REMARKABLE HOT RETREAT!  I've been going to these since they started.  I love them because I meet friends, new and old - laugh a lot, share good times, make great projects and scrapbook pages, visit with our team leader Janet Wakeland, and just have a really great time.  The theme of the weekend was Christmas trees.  Our group did a whole display in honor of those affected by Breast Cancer. Coincidentally, this weekend was the same weekend as the Komen Race for the Cure and our leader for the tree display - Sandi Haertig - is a 6 year Breast Cancer Survivor.  There was a contest for best tree and we didn't win unfortunately, but we won for what we accomplished.  We worked very hard on our tree display, so we were a little disappointed but we feel gratified to know that we have a really nice display to donate to the Cancer patients at the Infusion Center.  Here are some photos of us and our display.
Our display is all about Strength and Hope which was the recent theme of the SU! Fundraiser that we participated in to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  Our unifying theme was Always Hope - Stamping for Life.  We had shirts made up to match and even our garland had the theme.  These were made with SU! My Digital Studio.
This card tree was part of our display.  The four of us each made cards for everyone at the Retreat to write inspirational messages to the patients.  Sandi told us that it is really impt. to encourage the patients during their rough times as they receive their hopefully life saving treatments.

Sandi brought these wonderful letters of HOPE and the table cloth and I made the ribbon that went on the little pink tree and on the table.  It matched our shirts.
This is Me, Sandi and Hsiao hui in our pink shirts.
We each individually decorated cones with Mica and then either ribbons, or butterflies or lollies, or stockings, all with the pink theme!  We were very proud of what we accomplished!
For the smaller pink tree on the left, we had a basket of pink ribbons that the retreaters could write on.  They placed names of loved ones - cancer survivors and those who may have succumbed.  We took the names of all of those listed and individually named them and prayed over them at our Sunday am worship service.
This is the angel that Lisa made to go on top of our card tree.  She made it with the new SU! scoring tool.  Isn't this darling?
We all registered for the Komen Race for the Cure on Sandi's team COPT CARES.  They raised about 10K for the race.  We opted for the sleep in or snooze runner since we were going to be in Pa.  Do you like our boas?  By the way, we are wearing our race shirts and numbers.

BREAST CANCER SUPPORT CARDS

This weekend I'm in Harrisburg Pa at the Remarkably Hot Retreat.  I'm with Linda Kincaid, Peggy Kincaid, Hsiao hui Lin, Sandi Haertig, Lisa Chatterjee and many other REMARKABLE team mates under the direction of our great leader Janet Wakeland.  We are scrapbooking, card making, and paper crafting all weekend.  So much fun!!!  I'll have some neat photos to share with you sometime later today and over the weekend.  One of the things that we are doing is continuing to raise awareness and fund raise for Breast Cancer Research and Support.  Here's 2 of the cards I'm presenting this weekend on the retreat!  I used our EXCLUSIVE STRENGTH and HOPE stamp set by SU! for my first card and some SU! card stock and dsp.

Each of the cards are for a display that my table is doing for the retreat!  We are hoping to complete more cards for Cancer patients and survivors and their families.
Don't forget that the Maryland Komen Race for the Cure is this weekend.  We are on retreat, but my table mates and I are snooze runners - meaning we are supporting the race from Pa.  Click on the breast cancer ribbon below to go to Komen and learn more!

For my other card I die cut with my SU! Big Shot and used my punches as well as the button sizzlet for SU! to complete.  I love the colors.  Anything up against white looks so clean and neat!

Ok Remarkables - see you at the RETREAT!

CARD FOR BREAST CANCER SUPPORT BY SANDI

Sandi Haertig, my newest downline, is a huge supporter of Breast Cancer Research and the Komen Race for the Cure.  Sandi is actually on the Pink Honor Roll for raising funds!  What she does for these groups is amazing!  I wanted to share with you a card Sandi demonstrated for us that I made that we included in our recent BCRF fundraiser.  She used the SU! exclusive stamp set Strength and Hope.  The colors are so wonderful.  We are going to be making more cards to support those being diagnosed, treated, and survivors on our upcoming Remarkably Hot Retreat this weekend in Harrisburg.  Be sure to check in with me over the weekend for some really neat projects she and I and others have to share with you that are going to continue to benefit this impt. event.
Also...I want to remind everyone that this weekend is the Maryland Komen Race for the Cure!

FROM OUR PATCH TO YOURS

This is a great stamp set that you can get as a stamp brush set from SU! It was in our catalog last year as a regular stamp and now it's a digital stamp.  I CASED myself.  I took out these stamps which I love and recreated a card I made last year.  I think this is just adorable.  I'm going to send it to my parents.
The bat punch from SU! is currently on CLEARANCE in my online store.  Make sure you get it before it's gone.
I just love these stamps.  Of course, I love anything that has to do with Halloween!
