The Birthday Bouquet DSP by SU! is one of my favorites. Like the Birthday stack, this was a MUST HAVE for me when I saw the Occasions catalog. I have been creating quite a bit with it. Well February is a busy month.  Not only is there Valentine's day but there is also President's Day and Chinese New Year and Groundhog day and then lots of birthdays.  Today is a friend's birthday.  Happy Birthday Jean.
I love the SU! BUILD A BIRTHDAY set which I used on the card. Card is embellished with blossoms and dazzling details.

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

I made this card and decorated the envelope for my coworker Rachel whose birthday was a little over a week ago. The envelope has the cute MONSTERMANIACS stamp.  I used that set yesterday on the Valentine I posted for my son.  The Happy Birthday on the envelope is stamped using a SALEABRATION stamp set from SU!

I didn't get a chance to post my Valentine's yet so I'm posting today.  Valentine's day was sweet this year. I spent time with my guys and also with my girlfriends.    I made my small group from church and the friends I saw yesterday these little mini treat bags.  I die cut the intricate hearts and made the treat bags from SU! paper that I had purchased about a decade ago. The paper was the perfect pattern.  I made about 15 of these treat bags and placed Ghiardelli chocolates and Hershey kisses inside.

The photo only shows about 1/2 of the bags.  On the other 1/2 I found pink taffeta ribbon and put that on each mini treat bag.  I added punched blossoms from pink SU! glimmer paper (SU! OCCASIONS CATALOG MUST HAVE!) to the die cut hearts.
This card also uses the heart thinlit die. I made this one from gold glimmer paper and also die cut the hearts on the corner from that glimmer paper as well. This was the card I gave my husband.  I also used some Anna Griffin pieces and the border is from a Martha Stewart border punch I had in my craft stash.
I made the above Valentine for my son.  I stamped the HARDWOOD stamp in chocolate chip on soft suede card stock.  I love that background stamp.  Then the little guy is from a retired SU! set that has the most adorable little creatures.  The "for you" is a SU! thinlit.  I shadowed it by die cutting it twice, once from real red card stock and once from chocolate chip. My son is not a big candy lover but he does like Kit Kats and I founds special Valentine ones at the drug store.
My friend Patty has an actual birthday on Valentine's Day.  I made this pop up Valentine birthday card for her.  I cased it from my friend Rita who gave one almost exactly like this to me either last year or the year before.  Patty loved this card. The envelope is a petal fold envelope that is about 6 by 6 and another part of my stash.
When this card is open you can get it to stand up in triplicate.  It's a really cool fun fold.
Lots of love goes into a card like this and it's definitely one of those cards you like to save.

This is the card when it's collapsed.  It has a 3D Blossom created from the SU! die so it can only be mailed if it's placed in a box.  My friends Mary Jo and Cindy and I took Patty out for lunch so I was able to give her this card in person.  Click on any of the above photos to see more detail.

I have so many other Valentine's that I created but this is good to show for this year.  Hope your day/weekend was lovely

It's time to TOUR.  We have more great REMARKABLE OCCASIONS and SALEABRATION SU! samples for you to check out and re-create.  This week I'm sharing a birthday card I made for my friend Kelly.  I used the stamp set SKY IS THE LIMIT and the designer paper PERFECTLY ARTISTIC.  Both of these items I used are in limited quantities while supplies last.  They retire on 2/15 but you can still earn them with qualifying SALEABRATION purchase for FREE.  The card I made is what I call a Blooming Box card.  It folds so nicely and then when it opens it blooms.
I also used the stamp set GOING GLOBAL from the OCCASIONS catalog.  It's one of SU!'s most popular stamp sets.
The PERFECTLY ARTISTIC dsp is perfect for the background for this card because it almost looks like the sky.   The large clouds are made with the TREE BUILDER PUNCH and the smaller clouds are part of the stamp set SKY IS THE LIMIT.
The punched glimmer heart is BLUSH BRIDE glimmer paper that is also from the OCCASIONS CATALOG.

Don't forget to create an envelope for your card.  I used the SU! PUNCH BOARD ENVELOPE MAKER to create this card.
If you liked this creation you will love what the rest of the REMARKABLES have in store for you.  Head on over to Michele's blog by clicking the graphic below or clicking HERE.

I saw a card similar to this on PINTEREST and CASED it.  I wish I could remember who from because I loved the ombre effect and had to try it.  I'm sharing it with you and hope you will find inspiration also.  The stamp set used is BALLOON CELEBRATION by SU!

The ice cream cone on the envelope is from HONEYCOMB HAPPINESS stamp set that you can earn for FREE during SALEABRATION.

The Stampin Sistah's and Crafting Friends had a wonderful meet up this past Saturday where we enjoyed crafting and a SOUPer Bowl party.  We celebrated our dear friend Lisa's birthday.  We all designed different cards and enjoyed lunch.  This is the card that Lisa designed. She used the HELLO stamp set that is a FREE stamp set you can earn from SU!  I liked the stamp set but as with anything, it grew on me more and more with everything I have seen done with this set.  Now, I have to hurry up and order it because the HELLO stamp set is only available until 2/15. There are 3 items that retire that day and then the next day 3 new items will add to the rest of the SALEABRATION items that you can earn with purchase.  This is one of the BEST TIMES of the SU! year! Everyone loves to get something FREE!
I love the STARBURST die that Lisa used behind the HELLO. Have you seen all the great ideas on Pinterest and on the Internet?  This was something else I was reserving but now....I think I'm hooked!
The inside of the card is awesome, too.  Lisa added some cool stamped images.  This is going to make a great card for a special friend of mine.

Get everything you need to make this card in my ONLINE STORE.  For locals, I'm placing an order tomorrow - Tuesday 2/9 - to purchase this set and my FAVE new embellishing pen - WINK OF STELLA, which SU! carries, but is selling out quickly.
