MARCH IS A GREAT MONTH

I have been enjoying March!  Not only has it been my birthday month, but I've been finding that there are a lot of March birthdays amongst people I work with and friends I know.  Here's a card for Angela G from work.  Angela is a Respiratory Therapist.  Her birthday was on the 19th.  I brought her card into work and had it ready for her but she works mostly at night.  I put the card in my pocket and forgot all about it.  Then I saw everyone wishing her a happy birthday and I went - Oh No!  I have that card in my coat pocket.  Next day I made sure that card got to her.

Happy Birthday March babies!  Happy Birthday Angela!

GINZA WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN

Donna, Debbie and I went out to celebrate Debbie's birthday which was yesterday and my birthday which is on Weds.  I've been wanting to go to a Japanese Steak House for the longest time.  Boy, did we go to the right one!  Debbie and Donna chose Ginza and I'm so glad they did.  The Chef was amazing. He knew so many cool tricks to make the food!  The presentation was truly amazing.  Our waitress was incredible.  She kept refilling our drinks and kept coming over to make sure we were having a great dining experience.  Then to top things off, once they found out it was our birthdays, they brought us an appetizer and a great dessert.  Debbie had New York Strip Steak and Donna and I had teriyaki chicken.  It was delicious.

Here are some cool photos of our dinner together.  Oh, and I better not forget to tell you that the chef gave us each the opportunity to be chef.

Can you believe that they even sang us Happy Birthday - the chef and the waitress - and they added some cool "cha cha cha's!"

Look at this cool dessert they made from an orange!  Clever and creative!  I wonder if they stamp?

It was a great evening. We missed our friend Mary Jo - she was supposed to come with us, but her mom was not well.  Mary Jo - we love you and miss you!  Catch you next time!  We are definitely going back to this restaurant again!

WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY CARD

On Saturday, my dear friend Hsiao-hui took me to lunch at Thai One On in Towson (mmmm!  can you say deliciously wonderful food?).  We had a wonderful time together. I really enjoyed the lunch and the company.  As if the lunch wasn't enough, Hsiao-hui surprised me with this wonderful card.  It's a fun slider type card.  I guess we will need to make this card at one of our next events.  Thanks Hsiao-hui for everything!

This is Hsiao-hui and I at the Remarkables team meeting a few weekends ago.  I didn't take a photo at the Thai restaurant.  I should have!

This is a fabulous card.  This is how it looks when it lays flat.  It's Build a Bear all tropical.  Hsiao-hui knows I love the beach!  And look at the banner this adorable bear is holding. She is personally wishing me a Happy Birthday!
This is the card when you slide it - it pops up!  So very cool!  I absolutely love it!  I love the little flower behind her ear also.  Wow!  I can't wait to try this card myself.

Thanks again Hsiao-hui!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

March is a fun month at work.  There are several of us with a birthday!  We like to take one day and have a cake and exchange some thoughtful gifts and cards, and just enjoy a lunch! Yesterday, Debbie, Geneva and I had a wonderful lunch together.  Well, Geneva and Debbie had lunch.  I just ate cake!  And I had several pieces, I might add.  Debbie got the cake at our new Safeway.  Let me tell you ...it is as delicious as it looks in this photo.
Here is a photo of Debbie and the card I gave her.  I CASED this card from a REMARKABLE TEAM MATE.  I love that the card is so colorful and uses stamps from the sew suite line.

This next photo features Geneva.  I made this card at a REMARKABLE DIVA EVENT.  Janet Wakeland designed this card for us!
And, here is a photo of a very happy me!

For those of you who are looking forward to a card sample today.  One is on it's way shortly!  Watch for the next post.  In the meantime...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

GREAT SAMPLES/SWAPS FROM REMARKABLES MTG.

The Remarkables Team Meeting this past Saturday was truly a great event.  We had some of the best crafters around sharing ideas and tips and creativity.  Here are just a few of the samples I received in swaps at the meeting.

Sherry Shodt made this card using blueberry dsp and top note
If the sample has Remarkables Team Mtg as a label, I may not know who swapped with me or who designed the card.  I tried to put names with those cards of the swappers I noted who gave me the card or at least had put their name with the card and I didn't lose it.

MAKE AND TAKES FROM REMARKABLES TEAM MEETING

I've been so excited to show you the make and takes from our Remarkables Team Meeting this past Saturday.  They are so awesome.  We used the new Four Frames Set (coming out for a special in April and a preview of what is to come this Summer - including new dsp), The Strength and Hope Set (butterfly set) that will help benefit Breast Cancer Research, and the Sew Suite Line from the Occasions Mini Catalog!  Oh, and we did an MDS  (My Digital Studio) card.

I did leave one off, and I hope to post that one later or add it to this post later.  Enjoy!
if you are in the Baltimore Area and are interested in taking a class to learn how to make cards just like these, please email me or give me a call!
