Congratulations William and Kate!
They are so gorgeous! I can't resist blogging about them!  I'm even going to scrapbook the moment tomorrow
once I see Kate in her gorgeous gown and the couple says "I do!"

NATURE WALK - LAST CHANCE TO GET THIS SET

The SU! Spring mini occasions catalog ends Saturday April 30th.  This great stamp set NATURE WALK is in it.  I totally cased this card (sorry I can't remember from who, as I made the card awhile ago - if it is yours, please email me for credit).  Isn't this lovely?
This set is worth every penny you will spend on it!  It has some great features to it - the bird, the flowers, butterfly, bird cage, and so much more!  Don't miss out!  Don't forget to pick up the springtime vintage papers also.  They are retiring Saturday also!

NEW MINI CATALOG COMING

There will be a new mini catalog coming your way from SU!  Most of you have probably received it already!  It has some great new product inside.  I used the new embossing folder on this card as well as 2 stamp sets that we will be saying goodbye to on April 30th (this Saturday) - called Nature Walk and Clearly for You!  If you haven't picked these up yet, there is still time to order.  Email me today or go to my shop now on my website!
While you are there, check out the fun classes for May!

I also used vanilla taffeta seam binding which I love.  Some of these will be continued into the next ordering period, but I'm not sure about the vanilla - so consider getting yourself an extra roll while you can!

SU! STRENGTH AND HOPE BENEFITS BREAST CANCER RESEARCH

 COMING MAY 1st
SU! CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT
BREAST CANCER RESEARCH
STRENGTH AND HOPE

I hope you will all participate in SU!'s efforts to support breast cancer research.  During the months of May - August, SU! will donate a portion of their proceeds on the sale of this stamp set to Breast Cancer Research.  My SU! friends and I have decided to partner and come up with a great class kit/package to go along with the stamp set.  We will donate all of our proceeds from the kit/class to Breast Cancer Research.  I personally have had several friends and coworkers and family members affected by Breast Cancer. So this promotion is especially near to my heart.  My husband's mother passed away before I even got to meet her from the disease so my son never met his paternal grandmother.  Two of my best friends - Sandi and MaryJo - are both survivors for which I'm especially grateful.  There are still some who develop breast cancer and don't make it.  The goal is for 100% survival.  With research, maybe this will happen.  Let's work together to conquer this illness as we share our love of creativity. When you purchase this stamp set Strength and Hope you will be helping our cause.  Please also consider buying the card pack or coming to class!

Here is a brief video by Shelli Gardner - cofounder and CEO of SU! discussing the campaign.

Please consider purchasing this stamp set and the class along with it.
Email me to reserve your set.

In the meantime, enjoy these card samples made with the set.
This card above is my original card.  Don't you love how the butterfly seems to be flying off the page?

This next card was CASED from a very similar card I made at DIVA day at Jan's home.  I love the little paper clip embellishment, don't you?  I also love the sampling of the dsp that is part of the special.
Here's the envelope I sent a friend with the butterfly flying off of the page.  And using the true friend set to compliment strength and hope.  I think that is one of the things I really love about this set.  You can compliment it with almost any dsp and almost any other stamp set.  It works for all occasions!

I know you will just love this set and the fact that some of the money collected from the sale of this set will be given to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.http://www.bcrfcure.org/  Feel free to click on the link to read more about the research in progress and to see where the money goes.

PHOTOS FROM THE MARTHA STEWART SHOW

I am so lucky!  My sister is one of Martha's top tv producers.  Martha loves Christina.  Because Christina works there I can usually visit with Martha when I go to NYC.  I had the opportunity to take my dear sweet friend Julie into NYC to see her recently. Here are some photos from the day!  You'd never know it was raining outside, it is so bright and cheery in the studio.

This wreath is gorgeous.  You need to click on the photo to see it in more of it's glory.  It is something I would love to hang on my window or door in my home.
These paper daffodils were hand made. They are incredible.  I couldn't believe they were paper!

These silhouetted rabbits were hand cut.  Wow!  These would look great anywhere during springtime!

This is a photo of Julie and I before the show.  We were so excited to be there! We took the train in from South Orange.  It was a smooth ride.  Caught some rain just as we got into NYC.

One of the guests made home made pickled relish.  Oh my goodness it was fabulous.  They also had the best tasting cheese ever!  We brought home so many things that day. I think over $150 worth of gifts!  I wish I could show a photo of everything we got that day. It was a great day for giveaways!  I especially loved the One Kings Lane gift card!

This is Martha and her camera man on a break at the show!

Martha took questions after the show. She was amazing!
This is my sister Christina.  Martha is conferring with her at the show.
Chris had Julie and I meet Martha and she was as gracious as ever.

I can't wait to go back there in the Fall.  I'm going with Sandi and Hsiao-hui and a few other friends!

COLORING EASTER EGGS! MDS PAGE

I'm working on some MDS pages for an upcoming project I'm doing with some friends.  So I thought I should at least do an Easter page. Here is JP coloring eggs.  As usual, with MDS, the page was made in less than 15 minutes.  I love SU! MDS!  so easy to use!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYBUNNY!

I just want to wish everyone a very happy Easter!

SNAIL MAIL TO RITA FOR EASTER

I needed to send my friend Rita a snail mail package.  I wanted to jazz it up for Easter.  It's fun to get colorful stamped mail!

Here's the Easter Card I sent her.

If you look closely enough, or click on the card above, you will see that I colored in the easter eggs and jazzed them up with dazzling diamonds.  I also added SU! mini pearls to the flowers.

EASTER CARDS

Well today is Good Friday - a very Holy Day.  It is a good day for reflection.  I thank God for all He has done for me, for my faith, my family, and my friends.  Easter will soon be here.  To get ready, I made these cards for 2 of my brothers for Easter.  Click on the photo to see the crosses a little closer.  I added dazzling diamonds!  Card stock colors are rich razzleberry, blushing bride and very vanilla.  The ribbon is blushing bride.

BIRTHDAY MONTH ENDING- CAN'T LEAVE THIS CARD OUT

Heidi Bound - a fellow Remarkable Team Mate- sent me this gorgeous birthday card for my big day.  I thought this was quite the card.  She used a lot of texture which I absolutely love.  I showed this card to my friend Celestine Hines and she went "goo goo" for it, thinking it was amazing.  What I love about Heidi's card is that she went above the usual card and even die cut fabric.  Isn't it great to be able to do that?  You most certainly can enhance any card or project with fabric.  This is decor fabric and it's pretty durable, but it's thick.  And you know what?  Our SU! Big Shot cuts it!  Whoo hoo! And Heidi used our exclusive Butterfly die to cut it out!  So cool!
Heidi I love your card. Thanks for the birthday wish!

QUICK AND EASY BIRTHDAY CARD

I wanted to showcase the SU! adornaments from page 15 in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  They come in a pack of 24 (that's a lot!) and in colors very vanilla, rose red and baja breeze.  We've used them on several projects in the past and I'm not sure if they will be in the main idea book when it comes out in the summer.  I do know that they are available for purchase until April 30th and very inexpensive at only $5.95 per pack.  They are used here in the center of one of the flowers on this very quick and easy birthday card.
To attach these to your card just use crystal effects, tombow monoadhesive or SU! mini glue dots!  All work just great!

EASTER CARROT FROM NEW PETAL CONE DIE FOR STAMPIN UP!

Oh, I have had enormous fun creating this carrot candy holder from the Petal Cone Die for SU!  I just love how easy this is to put together.  You just die cut two of these and put them together by sealing in 2 places only.  It is so incredibly fast and quick.  I whipped this one up in less than 15 minutes including making the tags. I had very little time to get this together for my son's 5th grade teacher.  I wanted to put a little chocolate bunny, jelly beans, and some other candies inside for her.  I love the way this turned out and I love the presentation in a clear cello bag.  His teacher really loved it and that is huge coming from a little boy who is a tween and not excited about bringing the teacher a gift for every holiday.  In fact, so funny, I had to put this in a plain bag to disguise it so that he wouldn't get teased about bringing something in for the teacher.  But when he came home he said the teach loved it.  Now I know that the ladies in the office will love it too.  I'll have to whip a few of these up quickly tomorrow am.

This is really a fabulous die for the Big Shot and it is exclusive to SU!  It's currently in the spring mini catalog so place your order today!  Look for me to be making quite a few other things from this as well!  Lots of ideas are floating around the internet from SU! demonstrators just like me!

FOUR FRAMES AND PAISLEY PRINTS CARD

Here's a card from our last class.  We used the stamp set Four Frames which is part of the SU! special for April.  This is an exclusive special for SU!  You can buy this stamp set and the designer paper - paisley prints- until April 30th with any SU! $20 purchase. These will then not be able to be purchased again until July when the new SU! Idea Book comes out.  This stamp set coordinates well with the extra large decorative label punch.  If you have the punch - or even if you don't - you will want this stamp set and paper. The papers are really gorgeous.  Everyone in both classes agreed.  Here's one of the other cards we made in class.  We also did a few more and if you purchase this set before April 30th I will send you the kit to make all of the cards.  You will only need your new dsp.  What a deal?  The stamp set, the papers, the punch, and a FREE CLASS!

By the way I added the rosette.  The rosettes come in a pack that are all vanilla in color.  I had the crafters color the rose with stampin write markers.  With all of our colors you can have a rose in any color.  The rose petals were punched using the blossoms petal punch which is also in the spring occasions mini.  I love this new dsp.  I am going to stock up now because I know I'm going to go through a lot of it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA KINCAID

Linda's birthday is tomorrow April 19th.  Here is the card I sent to her.  It is a V Latch Card that was demonstrated at SU! Leadership.  I CASED this somewhat from Dawn Olschefske.  She made a you tube video on how to make this card. Thanks Dawn for making it a little easier.  I used the stamp sets Sew Suite and Button Button.  They are both in the SU! Occasions Mini Catalog.  The designer paper is Sweet Stitches.  I was so excited when I saw these sets come out and the coordinating wheel In Stitches.  There is also a single stamp called Pattern Pieces.  I'm sorry we didn't use these sets in class yet, but am glad to have the opportunity to at least present a few things done with them.  Maybe they will continue this line for the upcoming SU! Idea Book.  But in case they don't, you need to order these before they go on April 30th.

Also possibly leaving us are the Designer Big Buttons called Sweet Stitches, the pompom trims in melon mambo, tangerine tango and daffodil delight. There are Fabric Designer Brads, a Printed Scrapbook album, sweet stitches rubons (yummy) and a sweet buttons embosslit.  The buttons in my card below were made with the embosslit.  I love it because I run it with card stock or designer paper through the Big Shot and out they come looking like real buttons.  I can make them in any paper I want.  So cool!

I love everything in these sets.  The buttons, the sewing machine, the pincushion.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is really neat too.  There is a great set in the mini called Bring On the Cake. There are so many cool birthday greetings inside of it.  Check out pages 20 and 21 of the mini catalog!  Do you like my Big Shot sizzlit buttons?  I made them using melon mambo and daffodil delight card stock.
Look at the dress form and also the measuring tape stamped lightly in baja breeze.  I love it.  I also copied Dawn and used my white gel pen on the buttons.  The card latches and hooks together to close.  This is really neat.  The reason it is a V latch card is because it is cut like a V and then latches together.  I love how the buttons stamped on the inside of the card show through.
The inside of the card sentiment and then the Birthday wishes on the outside come from the level 3 hostess stamp set called Occasional Quotes.  Love it!

You can see the card and envelope a little closer here.  Notice I have also used the sweet stitches dsp on the card as well.  If you have MDS you can also get some of the images (oh Sew) and the dsp for MDS so you can print all your own papers and cards and projects and print the images in any size you like.

I hope Linda likes her card.  Maybe we will do a similar card at one of the next events. They are really easy to make and delightful to give and receive.

Happy Birthday Linda!
