RemARKable LOVE Blog Tour - DAY 2

I (HEART) HEARTS!

Oh how I love hearts. Yes, I do! I couldn't get away with not showing you something with hearts in it on this REMARKABLE LOVE TOUR! I got the idea for the card from an email awhile ago and decided I really should make this style card. I really haven't done this fold before. The stamp sets I used are Tiny Tags (my new fave) and I (Heart) Hearts which are brand new in the New Occasions Mini Catalog by Stampin UP!
I also used the new embossing folder to emboss the polka dots. This is brand new in the mini. Do each side separately. When you do each side separately with the embossing folder, you get clean crisp embossing without embossing the inside of the card.
I also used the new mini tag punch and the mini library clips (how cool are these with the mini tags? stock up on these because they are going to be a hot commodity this year!). And believe it or not, I also used my Big Shot to die cut the swirly edge on the real red card stock. Do you know where that swirly edge comes from? It is from the Fancy Favor Box. I just cut the edge off on another project and decided to hold onto it. Today I found a use for that scrap. The nice thing about the Big Shot Dies is that if you think "outside the box" so to speak, you will see endless possibilities. The die makes nice Fancy Favor Boxes also, as well as a lot of other things that I'll be showing you in the New Year!

The inside of the card is pretty cool. I used the brand new wheel very vintage and rolled it in pretty in pink ink for a gentle appearance. I stamped some hearts from the tiny tags set (yes!!! there is a little heart in that set!!!!) and the verse is from another great new set called Well-Scripted. This verse set is a must and there is another verse set that you can earn for free that is similar but with several other words in the sale-a-bration mini. This shows the gentle appearance of the image that I wheeled on the inside of the card.

Oh, and in a pinch...I found out that one of my extended cutting pads for the Big Shot works in a pinch as a wheel guide. Too funny. I wanted to wheel with the guide but was too lazy to go get it from my scrappin/stampin bag and the Big Shot was already out! Hmmm! Clever! clever! clever! - sometimes I do have some clever ideas!

Here's another look at the finished card. If you want to see more, return here tomorrow, but in the meantime, head on over to the next stop on the Remarkable Love Tour.
