POP UP CAKES BY KATIE

POP UP CAKES ARE IN! above photo features from left to right - Katie demonstrating, Eileen S, Linda K, Rebecca G, a glimpse of Hsiao-hui L, and the back of Sharon's head.

Katie Ford was a guest demonstrator at class this past Thursday. Here she is demonstrating how to make the pop up cakes using the BIG SHOT POP UP CAKE DIE. Featured in the photo from left to right is Jen R., Pat N, Cathy S. and Paulette H. You can catch the back of Sharon's head. Sharon was hostess for the night and brought some delicious treats and drinks. Katie Ford is demonstrating.

These are some of the pop up cakes that Katie made and demonstrated at class this past thursday. The class was a CELEBRATE SPECIAL OCCASIONS CLASS. The above card uses the JUST BEACHY set from the new occasions mini. She used pacific point card stock for the water and cut swirls with the BIG SHOT so swirly. Isn't this clever? The beach chair is from a retired SU! set called sparkling summer. So cool!

This particular cake made with the sweet always paper is the cake that everyone had a chance to make. She even used the swirly die to cut chocolate shavings. Fantastic idea! Do you like her idea for presentation on the cake platter?

Now if this isn't one of the most clever designs I have ever seen with the pop up? It is Santa ready to hop on down the chimney. Katie designed this and used the holiday stamp set - Jolliest Time of the Year. Wow! The chimney is great!

Katie also made 2 cards using the cake pop up. I didn't get the best photos of these, so Katie if you are reading this, please send me some photos. One of the cards featured a pop up grass mound and a guy golfing. Way cute! Also, she used the chef set and made a pop up cake card. I love them and sorry I can't show them today, they would be blurry on your eyes.

Here is the pop up die!
