I CASED this idea from my good friend Linda K. We had a gift exchange 2 years ago and Linda made a very similar one. So I pulled this one out to show you since it is holiday time again. This was made using a sytrofoam cone as the base and then cutting strips of designer papers that would be attached as the pine leaves with long designer pins. Precutting for the project is most time consuming but putting the actual tree together is relaxing. This candle holder base was found at Kohls and is decorated with taffeta ribbon, a chipboard star inked with Gold Encore ink and embossed and a christmas sentiment "joy" punched with the word window punch.
I am so happy to take this out for the holidays and to remind you that Remarkable Stampers will have a blog tour this week (see details in right column with stamper elf) to showcase the SU! holiday mini and also that my big announcement is here and I will be a part of a huge design team that you can view projects from online starting Dec. 1 with 2 lucky subscribers receiving passes to the ustamp event (see above posts and subscribe to my blog!)
Maria, Hi I don't quite understand the assembly of the tree. Could you go into more detail for me? I'm a new level 1 demon for the group and was wondering if you minded sharing more instruction or if they can be found elsewhere? Thanks, my email is stampsandsigns@verizon.net. Appreciate any help you can offer. This is very pretty and seems simply elegant depending on papers used.
