REMARKABLE STAMP OF THE MONTH TOUR - MAY - BY THE TIDE

It's that time again - REMARKABLE STAMP OF THE MONTH BLOG TOUR.
This month we are featuring the SU! stamp set BY THE TIDE.

Seriously...you need this stamp set!  It's so cool! I can think of so many awesome things to use this set for.  And...with Summer just around the corner...you will all be wanting some lobster. In the meantime, look how cool this set is!

And...good news....it's continued in the NEW SU! IDEA BOOK!
My Card is a hybrid card using MDS and stamped images and embellishments and one of my favorite tools - crystal effects - over the lobster and the You're Invited.

I used the lobster stamp and stamped it multiple times for some invites to my dad's 80th Birthday Lobster Feast.  I needed to create several cards for the invites, so I used SU! My Digital Studio to create the background.  I printed the invites on very vanilla ultrasmooth card stock by SU!  They look so good. If I had a little more time, I'd be printing them using SU! print services because it's 25% off and it's so professional looking.  I added the sentiment in MDS and then added a brad.  Another great thing about HYBRID (both DIGITAL and Handcrafted) is that you can add any sentiment you want!  You have every sentiment in any font!  Here's the MDS piece.  It looks different from the actual hybrid card above but so cool when it's printed.

Do you remember the Designer Series Paper by SU! called Travel Journal?  It retired a couple of years ago, but the great thing about Digital work is that the papers NEVER retire..

For the MDS part of the card here's the Supply ListBackground

Another great thing about using Digital work in your card making is that you can change the papers to any color and you can even change the size of the print (i.e. if I wanted a smaller boat for example)
Here's a brighter blue and then below I tried crushed curry and it almost looks like a sunset.  I think it is really neat that the SU! My Digital Studio let's us recolor dsp, stamps, embellishments, punches, and more!
And here it is below with the banner and the antique brad embellishment added.  It's so cool! I decided to leave the paper the color that the original DSP was.  It's great to have MDS when you need to make a lot of invites and you want all of them to look exactly alike without spending a fortune.  Just print the DSP you want multiple times.

In my hybrid card, I could use either a real antique vintage brad or I can print it and add crystal effects and it really pops.  Below is the section of the card with the digital brad.  What do you think?
Lastly, I want to show you one more card I made with the BY THE TIDE stamps set.  I took some of the MDS dsp that I printed and I embossed it with a new embossing folder that is coming out with the NEW idea book at the end of the month that coordinates with the NEW mosaic madness set (I'll show you a sneak peek of the set this week- beware, I LOVE the new stuff!). I also embossed the fish, added a rhinestone eye, and then embossed the birthday banner from a NEW SU! hostess set, also coming out at the end of the month.  I then spritzed everything with some homemade spritzer. Get that champagne shimmer paint from SU! while it's still available. It is retiring with the current book.
