HEARTS A FLUTTER - REMARKABLEDREAMBUILDERS SU! STAMP OF THE MONTH BLOG TOUR

Well, my hearts a flutter that you have joined us once again for the REMARKABLE STAMPERS  stamp of the month BLOG TOUR.  And the featured STAMP is the BRAND NEW - HEARTS A FLUTTER stamp set by SU! which is in the NEW OCCASIONS catalog.  I knew that once I saw this set I had to have it.  It's so versatile and pendants and flags are really "in" right now.  Hearts are certainly "in" because it won't be long before VALENTINE'S DAY is here.

Here's my first creation - an adorable candy box or treat holder!  And it's easy to make from an 8.5 by 11 piece of card stock.
This stamp set is really great because it's got the pennants and the hearts.  Think of all the Valentines and Anniversary and Wedding projects you can make.  And..I made this for my secretary Donna who had a birthday last Sunday, so it can be used for birthday and other events as well.  The colors used were wild wisteria, lucky limeade and calypso coral.  I embossed the treat box with the argyle embossing folder EXCLUSIVE to SU!

To start - take an 8.5 by 11 sheet of card stock.  I used whisper white by SU! using your SU! Scoring Board and Tools, score the cardstock at 3 1/4 - 5 1/4 - 7 1/2 and 10 1/2.  then turn the paper 1/2 turn and score at 3 inches and 6 1/2 inches.

Next stamp your card stock with the design that you will want on it.

Make cuts in the bottom so they will fold in. Add adhesive to the edges and pinch the top to make the carton top.  I used an oval punch for the opening at the top and to adhere the ribbon.

Stamp and die cut the banners and heart you will add to the box.
And here is a card that I made using the stamp set.  I really am pleased with how this turned out.
The Oh Hello is from the stamp set of the same name and might even be the featured stamp set for next month.  I embossed the sentiment with the BRAND NEW POOL PARTY embossing powder.  I LOVE pool party and it's currently my favorite SU! color.

Ok, it's time to move onto the next Remarkable Blogger.  Click the icon below to head on over to Jeannette's!
