SOME HALLOWEEN CARDS

Next Friday my stamping group is going to meet to start getting a jump on our
halloween cards.

I wanted to share some inspiration as this fast growing holiday season approaches.

This first card is one I made using the stamp set House of Haunts. The card stock I chose were basic black, whisper white and tangerine tango. Notice my rhinestone brad addition and my use of the tangerine tango dotted swiss grosgrain ribbon. These next few cards are from the Remarkable retreat I went on in August.

This next one was crafted by Kim Schmulowitz and uses the new Holiday mini stamp set Twick or Tweet. This set is so adorable for Halloween. It has some pumpkins, a skeleton with a dog, ghosts and this lovable but somewhat scary chick. The dsp is the new awesome night and day specialty papers that come in black and white and are a must not only for Halloween but for the latest in fashion trends. I love how Kim used our BIG SHOT movers and shakers die to create this card. Did you see that we have new Holiday movers and shakers in the mini. Check it out by going to the right hand side and downloading your copy of the mini online.
This next card is amazingly haunting. Denise Thomas from Getzville, NY crafted this great card. She used the new Halloween wheel Haunting Hill and the same stamp set that Kim used above to stamp the pumpkins with the witch hat. I don't know if you can tell but Denise popped the pumpkins up with dimensionals. Look at her clever use of the word window punch layered on top of the new modern label punch. The modern label punch is new in the SU! main idea book this year.
This is another card I got in a swap at the Remarkably Hot Retreat that Janet Wakeland sponsored. Carole Herold of Freeland Maryland crafted this card using one of the level 3 hostess sets by Stampin Up! called the More the Merrier. She also cleverly used the punches like Denise and then layered those two on top of a large oval punch that she added piercing too. Great job!

I know we are talking Halloween today but Christmas is around the corner too. Next week remember to participate in the SU! Holiday Blog Tour by the Remarkable Stampers. Lots of great new samples of holiday projects using all kinds of SU! stamps, ribbons, papers, accessories and the BIG SHOT plus prizes.
