Oh, I can't wait until Halloween. This year we are going to my Martha Producer sister's house for trick or treating. She has 5 girls and JP is going to be a mad scientist with the girls as his assistants.
I'm getting an early start with my cards this year. I just love all of the Halloween SU! has in the new Idea book and the new Mini Catalog.
For this first card I decided to alter the dsp. First I brushed dusty durango ink all over the paper. Next I ran it through the Big Shot to emboss it and then I rubbed white craft ink on top of that. This is a great tip if you want to show the embossing a little more. The card stock is dusty durango and another tip...turn your dotted grosgrain around and it is solid. Cool, hmm!
The sentiment "Trick or Treat" is from the new Hostess set in the main Idea book called Holiday Best. This is such a versatile set and I love how it fits inside of our punches.
This next card uses the same stamp set I used in the previous post called Halloween Hoot. I really love this set and I'm going to use if for class this Friday. Wait til you see that card. Also...I used white taffeta ribbon that I brushed with basic black to give it a smoky feel. I love our ribbon because you can change the color to anything you want to go along with your project.
Aw! These are so cute!
