I can't wait to PROJECT LIFE my latest get away with my sister Teresa to WILDWOOD NJ. SU! has great options for that. I love how PROJECT LIFE has lots of great cards and options to embellish the photos and cards. Below are 2 more pages from my MARCO ISLAND vacation with the family this past May and then a BLOG ENTRY with the NEW SU! PROJECT LIFE LOVE STORY which can be used with almost anything.
I have been eagerly waiting for the Love Story Project Life Accessory Pack to come out and I am so excited it is finally here! Everything about this card and accessory pack makes me happy. I love the brush script and watercolor look. I love that the design is simple and clean with plenty of opportunity to add your own colors and customize. I love that the colors are black, white, and Basic Gray. When I do Project Life I like to keep it simple and let the photos do most of the talking and Love Story is so perfect for that.
For my first few pages I knew I wanted to do something with my wedding or engagement photos. So I got down my big box of photos from the top of my closet. Oh my goodness, that box is such a mess! It is filled with treasured photos that are just piled in unorganized heaps. Please tell me that I am not the only one out there with this problem!
After spending a couple of hours digging though them and reminiscing about all of the moments of my life captured in those precious photos, I vowed to get them into albums. Project Life marathon party, anyone? I decided to start with my engagement photos from 10 years ago. 10 years ago! How is that possible? I’m not gonna lie, it was a little hard looking at photos of us from 10 years ago. And my sister has become a much better photographer since then . . . just sayin’.
I had so much fun playing around with adding a little watercoloring to the cards and stickers with my trusty Aqua Painter. The cards and stickers take watercolor really nicely. I also added some Designer Series Paper with the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Stack and a few extra sequins from the 2013–2015 In Color Sequin Assortment. (The accessory pack comes with the black, white and silver sequins; I just added a few Pistachio Pudding sequins for color.)
Everything came together so quickly! I am so, so happy to have these photos out of my big messy box of photos and into an album. I plan to tackle my wedding photos next, but first I have to get them developed because they are all negatives. Ya, you heard me right. Negatives. Yikes!
So I had fun using Love Story for my engagement photos, but what I was most excited to use it for was an everyday spread to see if it would work. I am happy to report that it did and I love how it turned out! Documenting the everyday is my favorite part of Project Life. I love that Project Life gives me a reason to take pictures and capture moments that I would probably never think to do.
As I said before, I love to let my photos tell most of the story and keep things simple. I tend to take pretty colorful photos so the simple, black and white cards and accessories from Love Story compliment my photos perfectly.
One of my favorite things to do is make calendar cards with the Project Life Day to Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. That stamp set is so good. I love how this calendar card looks with the zig-zags on the bottom.
As you can see, the possibilities with the Love Story Project Life Accessory Pack are endless. I can’t wait to see what you guys do with it!
