This Greeting Card Kids set is one of the BEST stamp sets that SU! has ever created, I think! I am having so much fun with this set. (watch for some really cool cards coming soon with samples using all of the stamps!) We used this stamp on one of our cards last evening. We stamped the image using staz on ink (black) and colored it in with our stampinwrite markers. The papers are the brand NEW SU! Holiday papers called Jolly Holiday! They are so luscious! They are located in the main idea book so you can order them anytime. Never too early to start holiday crafting!
The envelope uses the sentiment from the stamp set Four the Holidays. This stamp set first became available in last year's holiday mini and was picked up for the main idea book. I'm so glad because it has 4 great sentiments to use for the holidays! I also used one of my favorite holiday stamp sets - Christmas classics - the tree!
These are the Greeting Card Kids stamp set. Aren't they adorable?
This was another card we made. I was so excited to use this new stamp set and this new paper. The stamp set is called A Cute Christmas. It will be available in the Holiday Mini on September 1st. The paper is called Candy Cane Christmas and it also will be available Sept. 1st. And Guess what? The paper is glittered! I took a sheet of the dsp and cut it down to fit on the front of the card. Next I used the stamp set called Perfect Punches to punch out the image Joy At Christmas. I used the scallop circle punch. The dsp coordinates perfectly with the paper and there are also some new rub ons and builder wheels and decor elements that also coordinate with this theme.
This was the inside of the card. Notice that the front of the card was embossed with my fave - the square lattice die! The inside of the card is stamped with another new set (from main idea book) called Welcome Christmas. The silhouette stamps (there are 2 great ones in the set) and the sentiment featured above are the main reasons I had to get that stamp set.
Here Donna and I are working on our card boxes. The ladies really enjoyed making the boxes. Pat N had her box completed first She did a great job! Tonight was Donna's first night with us. She had a great time and we hope to have her back to stamp with us soon! Rita took this picture of us and also took the others shown below. She didn't want to leave me out! That was so sweet!
Here I am with Luigi. He was our 10th guest!
Luigi is a regular at our events. Tonight he spent most of the time with Bill downstairs while we all had
fun crafting. However....he had to stop in to say "hi" to the ladies!
I will have more Christmas Card classes over the next few months. If you come to all of the classes
you will have most all of your cards done in time for the holidays!

GREAT CLASS TONIGHT
Tonight I had a FABULOUS CLASS at my house! I had 5 lovely ladies come for the first time. They had a wonderful time and we made some great cards. Some of the cards were brand new ideas I came up with . One was a repeat card from class last week (my all occasions class). I would like to share these ideas with you also and so I'll do that today and tomorrow. Almost all of the cards and papers are from the SU! Summer Mini Catalog which is ending on August 31st. So if you see anything you like, you may want to pick it up before it goes.
Here is the first card that we did. I used the stamp set sweet scoops. This is a card CASE from Dawn Olchefske - a truly remarkable SU! stamper. She made a similar card with different colors for the SU! Cruise Swap. And just below is the envelope and inside of the card. The Birthday sentiment is from the new stamp set in the Idea Book called Perfect Punches. Do you like how the ice cream scoops are highlighted with dazzling diamonds glitter? Got that idea from Dawn also!
This card was another card with the same design just a different stamp set. This set is tropical party - another set in the summer mini catalog. Love this set. If you like it too...pick it up by the end of the month. The dsp in both of these cards is Island Oasis and it is retiring paper as of 8/31. That will be the last day to get that dsp. It is really neat to change card stock papers and dsp to make different cards.
Here is another card we made tonight. This one is a total Maria Pane original. I used the Island Oasis dsp. (This dsp is so versatile) and the under $10 stamp All a Flutter, which is NOT in the new Idea Book. This is a single stamp for $6.95, so a good one to add to your collection. The card stock is old olive and tempting turquoise. I used smooch paint on the butterfly and 2 whiffs of smooch spray in the gold over the stamped image and the card. You can see the spritz without enlarging the card, but if you click on this card (or any card) you can see it in greater detail. The swirl and sentiment are from another Summer mini catalog stamp set called Elements of Style. That set is in the new idea book.
Pictured below are all of the designs in the Tropical Oasis dsp we used tonight.
Ok, 2 more cards tomorrow.

THANK YOU FOR A FRIEND
This is a card I made for my good friend Sandi. She is so sweet. She went to the SU! convention in Salt Lake City a couple of weeks ago and brought me some great goodies back. I was so happy she was able to go since I was back here in Baltimore working and unable to go this year. Some of the things Sandi brought me were a great scrapbook/craft tote, a laptop bag, some exclusive Christmas ornaments, some SU! exclusive merchandise and a SU! t-shirt. So to thank her, I sent this card off to her. She should be getting it today. I used greenhouse gala dsp from SU! that I embossed with the Big Shot. I also embossed the card base which is done in one of my new favorite colors from the new colors SU! introduced this year called Marina Mist. I embossed the card base with the square lattice die. The taffeta ribbon (oh, you need to get this! it is awesome!) is also in marina mist and is a deeper blue than the bashful blue taffeta. I added a sticky back pearl (SU! just introduced these in July and they really are an added touch and so easy to use) and stamped thanks using the new stamp set Perfect Punches, which coordinates with our exclusive SU! punches. I used stampinwrite markers so that I could get different colors on the stamp. The highlighting color is peach parfait which is a new IN COLOR this year.
