HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

This was one of the cards we did at class this past Thursday night. It was to be either a Father's day card or a masculine birthday card. Or they could make it a more feminine card using the watering can which also comes in this set.
The base card stock is chocolate chip. The designer paper is the double sided specialty paper Parisian Breeze which is retiring. The stamp set is Thinking of Father which is also retiring. We stamped the car or the watering can on SU! watercolor paper in basic brown. We use basic brown ink or staz on so that when we watercolor so that the image doesn't smear. SU! used to sell timber brown staz on, but there were quality issues with it turning greenish brown, so they no longer have it. I like the SU! basic brown ink because it is permanent like staz on. I also stamped the sentiment in the basic brown directly to the specialty paper. After water coloring the car and the scene, I added crystal effects and dazzling diamonds glitter (best glitter in the whole wide world). I know most men are not into glitter but I really love it on this card. I'm a glitter girl anyway.
The inside of the card uses vanilla card stock cut to fit the inside of the card. The card is 5.5 by 4.25 inches so the vanilla is cut to 5.25 by 4 inches and it has a nice border around it. The image is the car stamped off once onto other paper and then stamped onto the card stock. It gives it a lighter image. The words are from the stamp set dreams du jour that is not retiring. The ribbon is 5/8 inches chocolate chip grosgrain from SU!
