REMARKABLE PINWORTHY BLOG TOUR FEATURING NEW SU!

Welcome back to the REMARKABLE STAMPERS PINWORTHY BLOG TOUR.  We are here every second Thursday of the month at 8 pm est.  Today we have some NEW SU! samples with NEW SU! products.  The theme for this month is SHAPE IT UP!  When I came across this DRESS SHIRT card idea, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share it with you.  The original comes from some time ago (2011) from designer Susan Roberts who has a great picture tutorial on her blog.  With Father's Day this Sunday and lots of graduations and promotions and birthdays coming up (Did you know July is one of the most popular months for birthdays?  We have at least 5 in our family) I thought this would be a great SHAPED CARD to share with everyone.  I know my fellow Remarkables are going to have really unique shapes and do cool things with some of the SU! framelits, so I wanted to share a shape I don't think too many will think of today.  I love how this card has an actual folded collar and I can add any tie I want.  (I probably could do a bowtie also!)
Using the pattern Susan shared, I created this card for my dad. It fits exactly inside a SU! A2 envelope (it's 5.5 by 4.25 inches - a regular card!) The stamps are from the most recent MY PAPER PUMPKIN.  I have a monthly subscription to this unique club from SU! in which a red box of cool goodies arrives at my door to make either cards or other craft projects.  This most recent one was great because it was male oriented and I can use it for all of these great events we have coming up.  I love that unique stamps are included and that they are photopolymer.  I can see through these well made clear stamps and get my word images stamped evenly every time.

I wanted to use not only NEW SU! stamps, but other NEW SU! products, since the NEW IDEA BOOK just came out.  I stamped using the NEW IN COLORS (Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey), which may just be my two favorites of the 5 colors.  I added stitching to the card using my Lost Lagoon In Color Stampin Write Marker, and the tie was made using the NEW PAPER STACK from SU! called MOONLIGHT which is shown below in 2 photos so you can see as many patterns included in the pack as possible.

The MOONLIGHT paper stack by SU! is the perfect size sampler of designer papers that I can use for so many projects and it's so economically priced.  You could use any of the many patterns shown in either the above photo or the one below.  This is great paper for your PROJECT LIFE and scrapbooking so you may want to purchase more than one - although you do get a lot of papers in this pack.  It's great quality also and you can even emboss this paper with your SU! or other embossing folders.  I think the next DRESS SHIRT card I make I'll add texture to both the shirt and the tie and I think I may even add pocket. Wouldn't this also make a great gift card holder? These papers are so neat and the size is perfect as well for using on cards.  I designed 2 cards a few posts back that used these papers.
