CONGRATULATIONS WORK OF ART CARD FOR MY SON JP

For those of you who regularly follow my blog, I usually post something at least every day.  This week was a busy and exciting week for us.  First of all, my son graduated 8th grade and I'll have an exciting post to share about that soon.  Then my dear colleague Amanda won an award at the hospital this week and then I've been working long hours each day, even today.

One thing I usually do is create something artistic almost every day and this week was the first week in a long time I was slow to do so with the hours I was keeping. I did manage to do some #SU+PL last night that I hope to share soon.  And then, hopefully things will get back on track this week because the NEW SU! IDEA BOOK is out!  Woo Hoo!  I couldn't be any more excited. I've made a list and I want it all as usual. There are a few things I want to have a little sooner so I have an order going in this week.  My hostess code for anyone else wanting to order is RCKYDEV7 and I hope you will send an order this way with all of your new wants and needs.

So with graduation this week I made my son a graduation card telling him just how proud his dad and I are of him.  I used the NEW SU! WORK OF ART Stamp Set.  I LOVE this set.

JP was accepted into the prestigious ART PROGRAM at Calvert Hall for the Fall.  He is really good at drawing and we are thrilled for him.  I thought I got a little artsy fartsy with this card.  I also used GORGEOUS GRUNGE stamp set. Both are SU!  I even took out my cropadile to set some large eyelets and brads that SU! used to sell that are in my craft stash!
Here's the inside of the card.  I used some of my SU! graduate stamps and colored them in with the NEW BLENDABILITIES markers.
Above is his envelope using mainly the NEW SU! IN COLORS. They are fabulous.  You have to see them up close and personal and compare them to the other colors in the SU! repertoire to fully appreciate how rich and dynamic they are. Something I think I may need to blog about because the colors are super cool and totally complimentary to colors we already have.

Either tomorrow or later this week I'm going to highlight the graduation.  My niece Caroline also graduated this past week, so we have some great celebrations here.  Also, this coming Thursday make sure you are right back here for the REMARKABLE STAMPERS PINWORTHY BLOG TOUR.
The tour goes live this THURSDAY at 8 pm.

Have a GREAT SUNDAY!
