MDS MONDAY - A VISIT TO LADY LIBERTY

This past December - just a few weeks before Christmas, my dear friend Amanda organized a trip for several of us to New York City.  I have been going to NYC for several years with different groups of  friends and doing some amazing things. (I'm sure if you're a follower of my blog, you have seen my adventures).  For the last several years, we've been longing to visit the Statue of Liberty.  This was our year.  It was a gorgeous sunny day, cool enough for us to need winter coats, hats and gloves.  We took the ferry over and then went in for a visit.  Several of us climbed several hundred stairs to get to the base.  I'll save those photos for another page (lol!).  The view was amazing, both of the Statue and of the NYC skyline - which will deserve a page unto itself.  In this layout, I have featured 2 views of the Statue and my "hamming it up for the camera" photo, as well as a photo of several of us as we waited on a short line to get on the ferry.
