I LOVE DASHER

Here is another card we did at my Christmas Card III class this week.  It is also another CASE but I do not know who made the original.  All I know is that I love this card!  It is so elegant.

This card uses a great stamp - the reindeer - DASHER.  It is an UNDER $10 stamp that everyone needs to own.  He is so cool!  I stamped him in chocolate chip on whisper white ultrasmooth card stock that I first stamped the trees from Lovely as A Tree!  I also sponged a little of the bashful blue about the trees to give it more of a "snowy" feel.

Of course I had to add dazzling diamonds glitter to the snow!
Here is the inside of the card and the envelope.  I stamped "off" once for the trees so they would be a little lighter on the envelope so that I can write in an address.  The sentiment is from Many Merry Messages.

CHRISTMAS CARD CLASS III

Last night and the night before I had Christmas Card Class III at my home.  I now have a collection of almost 30 cards ready to go for the holidays and it has been a lot of fun.  This may be the first year I have all of my cards done well before December.

This first card was loved by all.  The card front is a direct CASE from fellow remarkable team member Karen Monger and uses Bells and Boughs which is in the new Holiday Mini Catalog.  I love the simple elegance of this card.
I love the holly.  I colored the berries with real red stampinwrite marker and then highlighted them with crystal effects.  The holly leaves are watercolored with always artichoke classic ink.
I love the inside sentiment for this card.  I stamped Merry Christmas on the new XL label punch and then mounted that to our new XL circle punch.  It looks so much more elegant than just stamping the greeting on the inside of the card.  The envelope has the same greeting but I stamped the bells from the stamp set and watercolored all but the berries which were again done with real red stampinwrite markers.  Love this set.  The inside of the card is my own original idea.

LUIGI in MDS

Can any dog be more handsome than this one?
My son decided to put my husband's sunglasses on Luigi.  Of course, my doggy did not want
anything on his face - hence JP's hand in the photo holding Luigi still for the photo.
By the way....I put the photo in MY DIGITAL STUDIO  and used some of the new IN COLOR designer paper and the brads and hodgepodge hardware.

BIRTHDAY CARD FOR LINDA

I know a lot of Linda's. This card is for my friend Linda S. from work.  She is a nurse in our NBN.  It was her birthday on Columbus day.  I made this card for her.  I used the Manhattan Floral stamp set to emboss the rose in white on shimmery white paper.  I then added color with the reinker spread technique.  Oh how I love that technique.  The petals are from a Big Shot die (Flower layers with leaf) that we currently have on the blow out blitz clearance which ends on Monday.  So head on over to my website to purchase what is left (over 200 items at up to 80% off!).
The card stock base is peach parfait, one of our new IN COLORS this year.  I embossed the front of the card with my favorite square lattice embossing folder for the Big Shot.

Happy Birthday Linda!

GREAT THANK YOU CARD

Linda Kincaid demonstrated this card that she cased from SU!'s Stampin Success magazine for demonstrators.  The card uses the card stock colors poppy parade and daffodil delight, 2 of our newest colors.  Wow!  Don't these colors look great together?  Such happy colors.  Linda enhanced the card and took it one step further by embossing the poppy parade card stock with the elegant lines embossing folder, exclusive to SU!  The flowers are die cut from a sizzlet for the Big Shot called Floral Fusion.  The Stamp set she stamped on the front of the card is On a Pedestal.  There is a sentiment with the word wonderful popped up and the pedestal is an ornament on it's side next to the words.  Very clever!
The inside of the card is so colorful and joyful.  It is from the stamp set For Everything.  I just love this set and so glad Linda has it.  I love how she colored the sentiment in with her stampinwrite markers and added flowers from the itty bitty bits punches with brads.
Rita and Patty are above working on their versions of the card!
Linda showed us some other samples of stamped images using the stamp set On a Pedestal.  I love how she made the cake and then used the bon bons in the set for ice cream scoops.
 Really a neat idea!
Turn the bon bon upside down and you have a tropical drink.  The little cherry comes in the stamp set also!
The samples were so clever and really bright.  These are the types of cards I really love to send and to receive.
Thanks Linda and a thank you to Hsiao-hui also for helping demonstrate at Pat's.  A Big Thank You to Pat for hosting us.  Pat served us delicious homemade soup and crackers with hummus and handcrafted caramels.  It was a lovely evening!

PHOTO FROM CLASS

I just wanted to thank Linda Kincaid for taking this photo of me demonstrating Hsiao-hui's Halloween card from yesterday.  Pat Nuckels is sitting beside me.  I loved all the cards we made at our class at Pat's home.

OH SO DARK AND DREARY HALLOWEEN CARD

REMARKABLE HALLOWEEN CARD BY HSIAO-HUI

I love this card that Hsiao-hui demonstrated for us.  Pat wanted us to demo a Halloween card and since Hsiao-hui loves Halloween she volunteered to demo this one.  It is absolutely stunning!  Hsiao-hui used the stamp set dark and dreary and she also made her own spider from punches and the vampire bat is the owl punch with some additions. I love how she embossed her window sheeting with the spider web embossing folder.  What a great idea!  The bat eyes are so super spooky!  Everyone really enjoyed making this card.
I love the inside of the card stamped with craft white ink and look at the envelope flap.  Hsiao-hui embossed it with the spider web embossing folder.  She also used the distressing kit (new to SU!) on the clear window sheeting to make it really look spooky and like a true cobweb.

LINDA'S LOVELY HOLIDAY CARD

STYLE BEAUTIFUL IS PERFECT FOR THE HOLIDAYS
This card is called a "wiper card."  Linda demonstrated it for our group at Pat's home.  This is an absolutely lovely card.  I like how you can pull gently on both ends and the little message pops up.  Linda Kincaid demonstrated this card using the set style beautiful which really is a very elegant stamp set.  I liked that she used it for a holiday card.
The card base is cherry cobbler which is one of our new colors.  It is so rich and perfect for the holidays.  She also added some new silver glass glitter.  Glitter is so perfect for your holiday cards.  It really shows that you went the extra mile on your cards.  Linda also used sahara sand and old olive ink and I love the use of the wide striped real red grosgrain ribbon.  Can you tell that Linda embossed the outer portions of her card with the vintage wallpaper embossing folder for the Big Shot?  This card is really well done!
The Seasons Greetings sentiment and the pop up sentiment are from the stamp set Many Merry Messages.

Here are some photos from class:
Linda is demonstrating how the card works.
 Simply gorgeous card!
We all used the stamp positioner to get the words exact and it was very easy.  This is Hsiao-hui using it.
Rita did very well with the positioner also.
Linda is showing Rita how to put her card together and you can see Pat in the background stamping.
Here are some of the group working on their cards.  I must say I really loved all of the cards.  I hope to show Linda's other card and Hsiao-hui's other card in one of my next posts.  They were also fabulous cards.
Next week on weds. I have a Christmas Card 3 class. I have so many more great ideas to show you!  I can't wait!
