TRYING GELATOS - NOT THE ICE CREAM THE COLORING TOOLS - INCLUDING PHOTOS OF OUR GATHERING AT RITA'S

I gave Lisa a set of Gelatos for her birthday. These are really cool coloring tools in a wide variety of colors.  They remind me of a combination of pastels and crayons and watercolors.  Lisa showed us how to color on stamps and then stamp the image on card stock.  This is the creation I came up with under Lisa's direction.  These are really cool tools.  This one has a shimmery watercolor pastel feel. We made this card at Rita's winter craft gathering early in February.  The stamp set is called POSTAGE DUE by SU!  I love the collage feel and the postage stamp which was punched out after being stamped with my SU! coordinating postage stamp punch.
Click on either image to see it up closer.  Love these!

The sentiment is from A DOZEN THOUGHTS stamp set by SU! and I used the script embossing folder on the base card stock.

This is the package I got for Lisa.  There are some smaller packages you can trial, but why get the smaller pack when you can have a larger pack with more great colors?  The package comes with some cool colors and some stencils and some other neat things inside, including an instruction sheet.  Also, there are some neat classes on line that you can try and lots of great techniques.  I'm looking forward to Lisa teaching us something else new that we can do with these.
These are photos of our gathering at Rita's where Lisa taught us a technique using gelatos.
 Cathy Weir looks on.
Lisa colored with the gelatos directly onto the stamps.
After coloring, you spritz with some alcohol or other spray, shimmer works great.

  Sandi chooses some colors
 Arleen enjoyed the gelatos also.
And here's Linda M coloring with them.
