We have gotten word from our family and friends in NJ that they are snowed in but thankfully they have power and sun is starting to come out. Storm was in effect until 1 pm today. Most roads still unplowed. The snow blowers are out. Luckily the children can build snowmen because it's a heavier wet snow. Anyone near trees has to be careful because there may be downed trees and power outages to come. Our New England friends and some New York city friends are not as lucky. In Northern Jersey most of the snow totals are one to two feet. So glad I was able to drive home yesterday before the big snow hit. Sorry we need to postpone mom's birthday celebration a bit longer. It will be worth the wait Mom!
