HOLIDAY CARD WE DID AT PAT'S HOUSE

This past Friday, several of us went over to Pat Nuckels home and we had a really fun Fall Card Class.  Hsiao-hui and Linda and I each presented 2 lovely cards each.  Both Hsiao-hui and Linda did a Holiday card.  Today I'm presenting Hsiao-hui's and tomorrow I'll present Linda's. They were both fabulous.

Hsiao-hui's card uses the new Christmas Collage stamp.  It is one of the most beautiful Christmas stamps I have ever seen. There is so much you can do with this stamp set.
This is such a beautiful card that Hsiao-hui demonstrated for us.  She cased it from a stamping website and did a very good job.  I love the gathered red satin ribbon, the glimmer brad, and did you catch the music down in the bottom right hand corner?

Here are 2 photos of Hsiao-hui demonstrating the card.

Here are some photos of friends enjoying making the card.

This card took a little extra work to put the ribbon on and the new glitter glass, but the end product was really worth it.

SWAP CARD BY HSIAO-HUI

I know everyone wants to see the other cards we did at Pat's class the other night, but I don't want to forget to post this great card that Hsiao-hui did for her Regionals swap.  I would truly be remiss if I forgot to show it to you.  Hsiao-hui used the adorable set Kimono Kids.  Aren't they just adorable?  Early in the New Year, we are going to have a Chinese New Year Party at Hsiao-hui's and I think she may demonstrate this stamp set and I would be so ecstatic since I think it is the cutest set in the SU! Idea Book!   I love how she stamped the kids on vellum and crimped them. This looks just like a Chinese Lantern!  Great Job Hsiao-hui!

If you like this card by Hsiao-hui, tomorrow I'm going to post another great card she made!

FRENCH FOLIAGE AND SEASONAL SENTIMENTS

I CASED this card from Jeanette Swain.  She was so kind and gave me this card at the last Remarkable Team Event.  I basically did the same design except that her ribbon was rich razzleberry 1/8 inch taffeta and I used pumpkin pie 1/8 inch taffeta. I demonstrated this card for my crafters on Friday night at Pat Nuckels home.  They loved this card!  The stamps are from the French Foliage Stamp set which is New in the SU! Holiday mini catalog.  We used the ink colors - old olive, pumpkin pie, rich razzleberry, basic grey and so saffron.   I love the tone on tone stamping on the rich razzleberry card stock that we embossed with the square lattice die for the Big Shot.  The postmark from Paris is really vintage!  Aren't these colors fabulous?
This is my envelope and the inside of the card. The sentiment on the inside of the card is from Seasonal Sentiments stamp set and stamped in old olive ink.  This was a thanksgiving phrase that I modified.  I love that the leaf appears to be a part of the sentiment.

Patti really enjoyed working on this one.

MORE FALL FUN AT PAT'S

I just wanted to post a few photos of our fabulous Fall Stampin Event at Pat Nuckels home last night.  I know the ladies will be excited to see themselves posted here.  We had a really great group of crafters and lots of "wow" cards that I'll be posting these next few days. Marlene, Pat, and Hsiao-hui are pictured above.
Linda is passing some stamping supplies to Patti!
Rita is doing some inking of the medallion stamp from the Days of Gratitude set.  We embossed the medallion with chocolate chip craft ink and clear embossing powder.  It was a really "wow" effect on the card.
Linda is stamping the inside of her card.
This was such a lovely group of crafters.  We had a fabulous evening.

FALL FUN CLASS AT PAT'S LAST NIGHT

MORE DAYS OF GRATITUDE

I promised more cards using this set and here is another one.  This is one of the cards we did last night at Pat Nuckels home.  We had a wonderful evening with some really lovely crafters.  Pat is always a gracious hostess.  This was one of the cards that I presented.  I embossed the larger medallion with chocolate chip craft ink and clear embossing powder.  The sentiment Thank You is also embossed.  I stamped the leaves in wild wasabi and cajun craze.  The designer paper is more of that designer card stock Autumn Spice.  Note how I also used our new SU! ribbon punch - wild wasabi.

This is the inside of the card and the envelope.  I used our New XL decorative label punch for the sentiment.  This really makes a wonderful Fall card.

DAYS OF GRATITUDE

This will hopefully be the first of many cards I will make with one of my new favorite sets from the SU! Holiday Mini Catalog - called Days of Gratitude.  What an awesome set!  When I saw this set in the mini catalog I loved it.  I was really happy that it was the stamp set that SU! gave us for FREE at our Regional Conference in Baltimore last weekend, so that I could share it with all of you!  It is a great set with so many uses.  For this card, I used the new pad of designer paper stack in the Regals collection.  You get 40 sheets of paper for the money!  What a deal! and not only that ...the patterns are gorgeous!   The strip of paper is actually designer card stock from the new mini catalog that coordinates with this stamp set and is called Autumn Spice.  You need to actually feel the weight and texture of this card stock.  I had no idea that this designer paper was as nice as it is until my upline Jan Wakeland opened her pack for us at a demonstrator event back in August.  That paper went on my very first order of the new Holiday mini! All of the colors complement one of our new SU! colors this year called Cajun Craze.  It is the perfect color for Autumn and it will be perfect for the Christmas holidays as well.

COME TO BETHLEHEM

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  If you have not, this is a great time to start getting ideas and collecting the supplies you will need.  There are so many great ideas from SU!  This is a wonderful new stamp set in the main Idea Book called Come to Bethlehem.  I will probably use this set for my cards this year.  I love the three kings and the little town of Bethlehem.  I decided to red, white, blue and gold for the color scheme here.  I really like this stamp and I know it will make many great Christmas cards.  Do you see the background Not Quite Navy card stock is embossed with the poinsettia embossing folder for the Big Shot?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TERESA

I want to wish my sister Teresa a Very Happy Birthday Today!
Here's a cute Halloween Card for you!
I used the brand new SU! Spider Web embossing Folder on this card and the Greeting Card Kids stamp set.  I first painted the embossing folder with black craft ink and then ran a pumpkin pie card stock piece through it for embossing.  This is the result I got.  I then added thick embossing powder and heated the card.  It looks so spooky!

HALLOWEEN TREATS

I had some fun making these great treats for Halloween.  I used our new Bigz L Die for the Big Shot - Candy Wrapper(120890 $32.95).  This is just so adorable and look how many different kinds of treats I made.  I used regular card stock and also some dsp.  I tied the wrappers with our new taffeta ribbon and decorated them with different stamps.  You probably recognize some of them.  Also...there are 2 different ways to secure the ends.  One looks more fancy (photo 3) than the others, but all are pretty cool.  Put little candies in each of these or little presents and they will be sure to delight!

RemARKable Holiday Madness Blog Tour - Post 7

Today is our Final Day of the RemARKable Holiday Tour.   Wow!  A week of ideas!  I hope you have enjoyed the tour and all of our cards and projects.  There are so many fabulous things you can create.  Time to start working on all of your holiday crafting projects.  Be sure to return here often for more great holiday ideas.  I have so much more to share with you and I love reading your comments and your emails to me.  So be sure to let me know if you have enjoyed what I have been bringing you.  And...Happy Upcoming Holidays!

Today I have some Baltimore Regionals Swap Cards to share.  The first is made by my downline Linda Kincaid.  Linda is super talented and I'm so happy to have her a part of my team.  Linda used the new holiday builder wheels and the word play stamp set to make this card.  I love her use of textured card stock and the punched circles and crystal effects.  Linda's card was in the running for one of the best cards at Regionals.

Next, I have a card by one of my great friends in Remarkables, the talented Kathy Winland.  I love her card candy.  Kathy used the Tags til Christmas in a very clever fashion. These tags can now be adhered to packages, gifts, cards, crafts, etc.
Here is one of my swap cards.  I actually had 3 different ones. This one was my favorite Christmas one and uses the Greeting Card Kids and the Northern Flurry Embossing Folder. I also used Vanilla Smooch spray and I love the shimmery effect.  Just Beautiful!

Stay tuned for even more great swap cards from Regionals that I hope to post this week.  We had a great time at the Baltimore Convention Center and lots of great ideas!
