CARD FOR MY FRIEND

A fellow demonstrator had surgery.  I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her.  This is the card I made for her using the BRAND NEW STAMP SET - MY FRIEND.  I love it.  The silhouette of the flowers and leaves is just gorgeous.  I embossed them with white embossing powder.  The HELLO is awesome also.  I just love this font and wish I could have every letter in it.

The card base is night of navy and I used the coordinating ink color on the envelope.

Here is the inside of the card.
The sentiment is from the stamp set Crosses of Hope which was new last July and the flowers are from Vintage Vogue.

My friend pulled through surgery just fine.  I continue to wish her well!

FRIENDS CARD DESIGNED BY CATHY WEIR

A good friend of mine - Cathy Weir - designed this card that I made at our shoebox swap last year.  It uses the stamp set Vintage Vogue.  Her colors are tempting turquoise and basic black.  The colors on this card go so well together.
This is the inside of my card.  I like having just the right added touch with the flower.  My envelope was very similar.

Cathy, great job on this design.  I can't wait to see what you come up with for our Holiday Fun Workshop next week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARON LIBERTO

I did a variation of this card in an earlier post. I loved the design so much that I used a similar one for my friend Sharon's birthday card. Sharon's birthday is May 30th which is also my wedding anniversary. I'll post Sharon's card today, so I can post something else on the 30th. Sharon is a good friend of mine who several years ago left the hospital to go work for Hospice. She is a great RN and I'm glad that I still get to stamp with her from time to time.
On the cover of this card, I stamped some Vintage Vogue, a stamp set that was in the spring mini catalog which is still available for purchase even though most of the other items in the mini catalog have retired. I used melon mambo, summer sun and only orange ink colors. All but Melon Mambo are retiring on June 30th.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

AMANDA MADE ME A DOUBLE DISPLAY CARD
Oh my gosh this Birthday card is just gorgeous and even more so up close. Amanda Hindle spent quite a bit of time making this double display card for me and a similar one for Dale Trott (her birthday was 3/3). I just had to show it to you! The detail is amazing!
Amanda used the Occasions Mini Stamp set Vintage Vogue as the main set for this card and then added a few extra sets such as Well Scripted (birthday sentiment), whimsical words, and a Flower For all Seasons (the last 2 sets she earned FREE for sale-a-bration which ends at midnight 3/31). The envelope is hand stamped and hand glittered just like the card!
Look at how wonderfully glittered this card is! Awesome Amanda!
Oh, and the designer paper is my absolute favorite from the mini catalog called Shades of Spring. Luckily this paper is available in the Occasions Mini until the end of April.

I have received some wonderful cards for my birthday and I'm going to showcase them
over the next few days. I had a very nice and very busy birthday weekend (my birthday is actually today...March 30th) so I'm a bit behind in blog posts! So I'm getting started today.

Happy Birthday to Me!

MORE VINTAGE VOGUE -FAUX BRADS technique

Linda Kincaid was at it again. She demonstrated this card on Friday at Carol's house. We had a wonderful class and lots of great new SU! Linda used regal rose, pretty in pink, certainly celery, whisper white and chocolate chip. Also....I wanted to tell you that the centers of the flowers look like they are brads. Well....let me let you in on a secret...they are not brads! Linda showed us the most amazing technique. She made her own centers using crystal effects and white craft ink. You can do it with any craft ink but you want to use craft for the opaque look! Just mix these together and drop onto card stock wherever a brad is needed. This was a true "wow" moment for me when she showed us this. Sometimes you are short on brads, don't have the right color, or you just don't have the brads. Linda just solved this problem easily. The only drawback is waiting for it to dry. But you know what? it didn't take long at all! Linda used the same technique in this post here as well!
Here is the inside of the card using the very vintage wheel and also well scripted stamp set.
All of these sets can be found in the new SU! Occasions Mini catalog. And when you order these you get FREE SALE-A-BRATION items!

Love these Linda! and thanks for that great tip!

LINDA KINCAID IS AMAZING

This card just blew me away when I saw it. My friend Linda Kincaid is a really talented stamper. What I love most about Linda is that she not only creates the best cards, she is so humble about them. So...I need to share them with you when I can. This is a window card. Can you see the clear window sheeting highlighting the inside of the card through the window? Linda stamped with the wheel very vintage in certainly celery ink on the inside. Oh, how nice! This card uses pretty in pink and regal rose ink colors. She has stamped the Vintage Vogue stamp set (oh this is such a great set to have and needs to be on every one's order!) and cut out some of the flowers and the F for friend, layering them to give them dimension. So gorgeous. Then she added some vines that she die cut with her Big Shot and stamped the Birthday sentiment - the more candles the bigger the wish! isn't that true? That stamp is part of the whimsical words stamp set that you can earn for FREE during sale-a-bration! Just place any product order for $50 and you get the entire set for FREE! What can be better than that. Include the Vintage Vogue Stamp set and card stock/envelopes and ink and you can make Linda's card.

The Vintage Vogue (117690 $23.95 wood mounted; 118598 clear mounted) stamp set has the above images.Whimsical Words is a set you can only earn FREE! How about that? FREE!!!!

RemARKable LOVE Blog Tour - DAY 3

SURE TO BE ONE OF THE
MOST POPULAR STAMP SETS -
VINTAGE VOGUE

This may be the last day of the tour, but it is only the beginning of the most wonderful Mini catalog to date as well as the best saleabration to date. You will want to return here regularly for more great SU! and more sneak peeks and great ideas. Great ideas and samples include this card above that I designed while I was on RAD with my upline Jan and all of my sidelines. Jan had all of the stamp sets in the new Occasions Mini catalog for us to sample and I went right for this set. Again...I chose to use ultra smooth white card stock as my background and I embossed with the new pretty polka dots embossing folder for SU! The ribbon and card stock accent colors are rich razzleberry. I used the new SU! edge punch that as mini hearts all along the edge. Isn't it darling? I stamped the flowers and cut them out and accented them with 1/2 back pearls from the pretties kit.

I also stamped the inside of my card using rich razzleberry ink that I stamped and then stamped off to get the lighter colors. This stamp set has some beautiful stamps in it. And you know what? This set is first on my list of stamp sets to order come January 5th because I want Saleabration benefts. Click on my link here to see what you can earn for free including a brand new SU! edge punch - with qualifying purchases from SU! Everyone gets lucky during saleabration time! Until that time, you are still lucky....lots more great samples on the love tour...
