WARNING: Extra Samples in this Post
This is that time of the year when we have Graduations, last days of school, retirements and moving. It's time for some goodbyes. SU! also has a goodbye - with retiring products. Make sure you see my previous post or the SU! website to see what you can get some great deals on.
For my Goodbye, I chose to highlight the On FILM Framelits. I'm so going to miss these. I will actually be keeping these because in the Scrapbook world and crafting world, cameras and film are still popular. In fact, Polaroids have made a comeback!
This adorable camera stamp - SNAPSHOT - is also not continuing in the NEW SU! Idea book, so consider grabbing that stamp also. Picture Perfect will remain. The framelits also die cut the little cameras. I die cut 2 of them using Brushed silver cardstock which SU! is also retiring. The gold foil paper in the background was new in the past year to SU! and is a returning favorite. I colored my camera with my blendabilities which SU! no longer carries, but I am finding I get an awesome similar effect with the SU! stampinwrite markers and a blender pen. WOW! SU! Blender Pens! We've had them for some time and they are still the most awesome. They come 3 in a pack and are amazing! Inexpensive too! Parts of the camera like the lens and part of the hardware are highlighted with crystal effects which will continue on into the new SU! Idea book which debuts here on June 2nd.
Here is another card using the same retiring framelits and one of the SU! hostess sets. The hostess sets are only available until June 2nd. This one was perfect for this card that I can't wait to send to a friend who is having a tough time and needs some encouragement.
I love the filmstrip that I die cut. The little guy was enhanced with crystal effects also, as well as the umbrella. Also, look at the sentiment inside the card. It was attached to the fox and I actually cut it off to use as a separate stamp. This way I can use it by itself or with another image in the set.
Here is yet another use of the framelits. This is the framelit die cut that looks like a polaroid shot. I used the stamp set BLOOM WITH HOPE which I love and which is another SU! exclusive Hostess set.
I absolutely love this font for the sentiment. It's reason alone to buy the stamp set, but I I would encourage you to buy it for the flowers which are so cool to color. Again, I used the blendabilities and combined them with stampinwrite markers by SU! The framelit was die cut using brushed silver SU! card stock. It's awesome but being retired. sigh. I love the butterfly punches too and I also had to add crystal effects.
Here's another card using the stamp set and also the butterfly thinlets that we are saying goodbye to.
Here is another sentiment from the stamp set with that great font. To obtain this stamp set you need to host a SU! workshop of at least $150. You can do that on June 2nd when the Idea book for 2014-15 and the 2015-16 overlap for one day. You will be able to purchase from both books. Or, you can host the workshop before June 2nd and earn it yourself. You will love the new book and I'm sure it will be very easy to have friends combine orders to reach the threshold.
Lastly, I also wanted to share this coffee card I made as well. I had it in my mind that the coffee mugs - PERFECT BLEND - were not retiring, but sadly they are. sigh! I love these cups and I love the sentiment. I love coffee! I guess we have to have certain things retire so we can prepare for NEW stuff!
This card uses sahara sand and crisp cantaloupe colors. Crisp cantaloupe was an in color for 2013-15 so it is retiring. I love this color and I'm hoping for a color refresh next year that might include this color as a returning fave. Fingers crossed....
