MORE WINTER MEMORIES

Here's the Christmas card that my son JP sent to his grandparents.  We like to send them cards either every week or every other week so that they have FUN MAIL.  They love seeing SU! artwork and creations.  This was cool, because JP and I thought that this looked like he and Luigi building a snowman.  You may remember this stamp set featured in the REMARKABLE BLOG TOUR a few weeks ago.  Go back and check it out so that you can see so many cool ideas using this stamp set.  We added dazzling diamonds glitter and crystal effects for dimension.  Both are by SU!

Lots of BIG SHOT on this card also.  I embossed with one of the NEW embossing folders by SU! and I also die cut.  The designer paper is BE OF GOOD CHEER.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

This is a card I made for a coworker who is having surgery next week.  I used the THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS stamp set by SU! and a very NEW embossing folder from the SU! Holiday Catalog.  I swiped the NEW ILLUMINATE pad over the embossed area and it gives such a cool sheen to the card.

The envelope is stamped with AFFECTION COLLECTION.

CHRISTMAS WISHES

Here's an easy Christmas card we made in class this week. We stamped the Santa in the balloon from the Hostess Set CHRISTMAS WISHES and the sentiment Christmas cheer from SWEET ESSENTIALS. The cardstock was embossed with the BIG SHOT by SU! With the houndstooth embossing folder and then illuminated by buffing the raised part with the NEW ILLUMINATE INK PAD by SU! This was one of the favorite cards of the class.

BIRTHDAY CARD AND SCRAPBOOK PAGE FOR DEAR FRIEND SANDI

Last Wednesday was Sandi Haertig's Birthday!  Sandi is one of my BFF's.  I was so happy that I got to spend most all of yesterday with her.  I took her to lunch and then she took me to the FESTIVAL OF TREES at the Fairgrounds.  We had a really fun time and really enjoyed our day.  This is the second card I made for Sandi.  The first one I gave to her earlier in the month when she and I celebrated with Arleen.  Sandi loves birds, so when I saw this designer paper, I knew I had to make this card for her.

I don't know if you can tell, but I sprayed some smooch spritz on the front of this card.  The Happy Birthday is a die cut from SU!

CASED FRENCH FOLIAGE CARD

I was "surfin the net" the other day and found some really cool cards for FALL.  I was really intrigued by this one and had to CASE it.  I tweaked it a little.  The original was done on whisper white only.  I added colored SU! card stock and of course - I embossed the card stock.  I downloaded the original card but I can't read the watermark on it, so if this resembles a card you originated, please let me know so I can give you credit.  I really love the FRENCH FOLIAGE stamp set and it coordinates well with the stamp set BLOOMING WITH KINDNESS (large flower).  My sentiment is from the stamp set PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

WINTER MEMORIES - REMARKABLE STAMP OF THE MONTH BLOG TOUR

Thanks for joining me today for the REMARKABLE STAMP OF THE MONTH blog tour.  We have some really nifty WINTER MEMORIES samples for you today!  Here are my offerings for the blog tour.  The first is a Z-Fold Card using the Be of Good Cheer dsp.

I love this stamp set.  It is so versatile for the upcoming winter holidays.  It's great for Christmas and New Years - but look at other possibilities - do you skate?  Do you love the snow?  I can't wait to use this in my scrapbooking.

As you begin to open this card, you see how the message behind the picture in the front starts to show.  I did some water coloring with my aqua painter and ink pads which you can get FREE this month from SU!

You can also get a good idea of how I accented the water color with dazzling diamonds glitter by SU! and then I also added some flocking I had in my stash, which makes this looks like real snow.

Here's a much closer look of the snow and the water coloring.  I'm really excited about water coloring. You could also use your pencils or SU! stampinwrite markers to color.

This is really a fabulous set and I'm so glad I have it.

Here's my second card using this set.

This card is somewhat different in that I only took two elements from the set.  The first is the bird that I water colored as the cardinal in the pines.  These trees are stamped using the SU! stamp set LOVELY AS A TREE.  That's got to be one of my favorite stamp sets.  I stamped the trees and the bird and colored them, then added crystal effects and shimmer paint.  The trees look like they have freshly fallen snow on them.

These are close ups of parts of this card.  I embossed the sentiment WARM WINTER WISHES with SU! gold embossing powder.  The card stock was dry embossed using my SU! BIG SHOT.
