STAMP CAMP PRESENTS PAULETTE HALL

We had an awesome stamp camp this past Saturday. It was one of our best. We all met at Cathy Weir's home for the day to make cards and crafts and eat and have fun and do silly things that ladies do when there are no men around (Linda K and Amanda H. have a new use for the new embosslet hearts- and I'll leave it at that!). Each participant designed either a card or project using at least one item from the Sale-a-bration or Occasions Mini Catalogs.

Paulette Hall
is the awesome demonstrator for this card she cased which I absolutely love. She used used a great stamp set that SU! just featured in the last mini called Wandering Words. One of the stamps in that set is this very cool mailbox with hearts that fly out of it with a message of sending sweet thoughts. We colored the stamp with Stampin - write markers first and then stamped onto white ultra smooth card stock. Paulette gave us each some heart brads from her private stash and that was oh so sweet!

The card stock used is white ultra smooth and real red. Paulette accented the card with some brand new designer paper called My Sweet Pea (love it!) which has rose red coloring to it. She also used the new border punch that you can earn FREE during Sale-a-bration. as well as regal rose wide grosgrain ribbon and a vanilla library clip - both also from SU!

What a gorgeous card Paulette. I need to think about who is going to get this card since it is so very special! I love the envelope too!

More stamp camp cards/projects coming this week so don't forget to come back soon!

SNEAK PEEK HOLIDAY CARDS

MY CARDS FOR THE HOLIDAY PARTY TONIGHT ARE FINISHED
OK, I'm only showing you the inside of the card for now. I love these stamp sets and I used some slightly non-traditional colors for mine. However, I knew right away once I saw this Santa on the sleigh stamp that it would be part of something I would make for Christmas. It actually is from a set in the SU! holiday mini that is called wandering words that comes with some leaves of appreciation and some hearts flowing from a mailbox that will be great for valentine's day. The trees are from the all time best selling stamp set from SU! called Lovely as a Tree. I have never actually used this set as part of my main Christmas card until now. I've had this set since I became a demonstrator over 7 years ago. Tonight is our holiday party with home made card and gift exchange. So over the next few days or so, I'll be posting different ones, including the front of mine and the envelope.

SCENIC SEASON and WANDERING WORDS TECHNIQUE CARD

AWESOME TECHNIQUE CARD
BY HSIAO-HUI LIN FOR STAMP CAMP
STIPPLING AND WINDOW EFFECT TECHNIQUE

Hsiao-hui Lin did a great job at holiday stamp camp last Saturday. We lucked out because she demonstrated two techniques for us instead of one. The card above is just gorgeous and is an original creation. Hsiao-hui used the SU! stamp sets Scenic Season and Wandering words. The photo just does not do this card justice. It is so beautiful in person. One of the things that makes this card so beautiful is that Hsiao-hui also demonstrated a third technique that involved embossing. She embossed the trees with handsome hunter craft ink and iridescent ice embossing powder. The trees just glistened, they were so beautiful. You can emboss with any color craft ink and it is a wise investment to purchase craft ink spots because then you have all of your favorite colors to emboss with and they come in all of your favorite SU! color groups.
These are the techniques that she wanted to highlight. The stippling was really cool and the window technique was a bonus.
Hsiao-hui also embossed Santa and his sleigh using SU! gold embossing powder. At the holidays you certainly want to add the glitz to your cards. The stippling was done with a stipple brush and brilliant blue and tempting turquoise classic inks. Other blue inks could be used as well. The designer paper is merry moments.
Everyone really loved making this card. Rita looks just lovely.
Sharon is putting the finishing touches on her card.
Kim is really proud of her creation.Alannah shows us her creation as her mum Amanda looks on. These colors are so vibrant and gorgeous together.
Cathy is really proud of her card.
Her smile says it all.

Thanks again Hsiao-hui for another great technique card. Our next Technique card will
be presented at the Holiday Blues class and will be another Hsiao-hui Lin creation!

STIPPLE BRUSH TECHNIQUE BY HSIAO-HUI

if you love this card you are going to be in for a treat at Stamp Camp November 21st. Hsiao-hui designed this card using wandering words and lovely as a tree stamp sets. She has designed something along these lines for a technique card for camp and it will be a 6 by 6 card using the stipple brush technique she used in this card. She embossed the trees with handsome hunter craft ink and iridescent ice embossing powder. What a sparkle? Santa's sleigh is embossed in gold. The background is stippled with classic ink on ultra smooth white. Hsiao-hui used brilliant blue and tempting turquoise inks. With Christmas fast approaching, this is a great card to make for your holiday cards. This is an absolutely gorgeous card that I was going to wait to show you, but it has already been circulating since Hsiao-hui swapped at the Remarkables swap.
