SYMPATHY CARD

Unfortunately, my mother's friend passed away this past week from cancer.  It had metastasized everywhere and she was in a lot of pain.  I had sent my mother a card to send her and on the day my mom received it is when her dear friend left her.  My mother wants to send a card to her friend's daughter.  I thought this one would be a good one. It uses cameo coral cardstock (available in the clearance section on my website for only $2.99 a pack!), the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set (flowers done with the reinker spread technique on shimmer paper - you can actually see the shimmer just click on the photo of the card to see even closer) and the sentiment from thoughts and prayers.  My mother's friend will truly be missed.

ANOTHER FAUX CLOISONNE SAMPLE

Last night Katie showed us how to do the faux cloisonne technique. In the earlier post I showed you the technique card that she made. This one uses the stamp set fifth avenue floral. The colors are actually baja breeze and she matched the magazine page well with the background. The embossing powder is gold by SU!

A FIFTH AVENUE FLORAL CARD

This is a very simple and easy card to make. It uses the Fifth Avenue Floral set and the on your birthday sentiment stamp set. The card base is baja breeze in color card stock. Next is chocolate chip card stock and then kiwi kiss. The flowers are stamped in baja breeze and kiwi kiss in color classic ink colors. The sentiment is stamped in chocolate chip and with a sponge dauber, I sponged some light chocolate chip ink along the edges. The ribbon is SU! chocolate chip grosgrain.
