PINK PIROUETTE RETURNING JULY 2010

I'm so excited that Pink Pirouette is coming back to the SU! family of colors. I love that shade of Pink and it goes so well with so many other colors. At Convention 2 years ago, I made this adorable little card holder using the stamp sets Eastern Blooms, Priceless, and Flight of the Butterfly.
These cards and envelopes are so easy and quick to make. Think teacher and secretary gifts as it is that time of the year.
The words in this set are wonderful and I love how they squiggle like in this pattern.
I added a little tangerine tango to this butterfly's daisy pattern. This is another returning color. Yeah!
SU! sells these note cards and envelopes in packages pre-scored and ready to be stamped. Such a convenience for us busy stampers - item 107311 $5.95 for a package of 20!!! And while I made the pink pirouette container from a pattern, you could easily die cut it from the Big Shot Die Fancy Favor #115965 $39.95.

Pink Pirouette and Tangerine Tango return July 1st 201o, but many of my stamping buddies already have these colors since they were in colors a few years ago. You can certainly get a jump on the new idea book and start using them again now!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA KINCAID

I can't remember who I cased this card from, but I received the original in a swap last year at the SU! convention. Well, I'm so happy to be casing this style card for my dear friend Linda Kincaid. It is her birthday today! I used the iridescent ice embossing powder to make faux diamond dust paper. Just love the sparkle.
This card features the stamp set eastern blooms and is really cheerful and colorful. I used retiring colors on this card - in particular the pink passion card stock as the background.
Linda likes cards that have unique folds and this one is no exception. I like that there are several layers for different messages.
This is a close up of the inside birthday wish. Do you like my use of the boho backgrounds stamp?
Here you get a better idea of how this card folds.

I hope Linda receives her card by today so that it is in time for her birthday.
Happy Birthday Linda!

ALWAYS ON MY MIND

Always on my mind, forever in my heart. I love that statement. I need to send a card to a friend of mine and this is what I chose. The stamp sets used are Always and Eastern Blooms. The colors are pixie pink and old olive and then brilliant blue ink. I used crystal effects on the flowers, buds and blooms. I also used the corner punch and 3 flower punch, 1 1/4 inch circle and the scallop circle punch.
