AWASH WITH FLOWERS CARD

I haven't used this set in awhile and took it out just the other day to create a quick note card.  This set is so much fun and really is a great set.  I needed to make a note card and this was really easy.  I just stamped on whisper white card stock by SU! and I must admit, I used my stampamajig for more perfect placement of the inside colors, but you really don't have too.  I wanted to use my new Wild Wisteria ink pad that is one of the NEW IN COLORS that SU! just put out.  I also used the NEW LUCKY LIMEADE for the leaves.  The sentiment is from the hostess set Swirls and Curls verses.  The border of the card is embossed with the Big Shot tulip border.  Really cool and very very easy to make!

I would be remiss if I did not post this gorgeous technique card that my down line Katie Ford demonstrated for our group just before I left for the SU! cruise. Katie did the folded paper frame card. I have been wanting to show this technique to our stamping group for a long time and I'm glad Katie suggested it. Katie used the razzleberry lemonade designer series paper and crushed curry card stock. The ribbon is dotted Bermuda Bay and certainly accents the card. The stamp set is the Awash with Flowers that was an exclusive sneak peek set in April. But don't worry if you didn't get the stamp set yet. It is going to be out July 1st with the new SU! idea book and catalog. The flowers were made with the poppin pastels technique - one that Laurie Gatton demonstrated to us about a year ago.

This was the card I just did for our Remarkable Hot City Night Retreat in Harrisburg, Pa. I used Awash With Flowers - the Brand New SU! stamp set Available for limited time in April only and then not again until the new Idea Book comes out in July. I love this stamp set and I really glitzed up my card. You would love it in person. The colors I used were Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose and Apricot Appeal. My ribbon is SU! old olive satin. The card stock is ultra smooth white, soft suede and old olive.
