DANGEROUS ICE STORM OF 2014

Overnight (2/5/14) we had freezing rain that iced all of our trees and shrubs.  The ice was heavy on the tree branches and even uprooted a very tall and heavy pine tree in our backyard.  Luckily, the tree fell away from the house and missed hitting our home and our neighbors.  Power was out off and on in the early am hours.  If you look at the street and our driveway closely (white arrows), you will see how slick they were.  The sidewalks were all coated with ice, and obviously, there was no school.  There were lots of downed trees in the area and lots of power outages and accidents.  We all stayed indoors.
