I just purchased these delicate lace framelits from SU!  They are BRAND NEW in the SU! catalog.  My first try using them was so successful. They die cut very well.  This is a card I sent to my parents for their 54th Wedding Anniversary.  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

BE KIND - COMPASSIONATE CAREGIVER AWARD

A colleague of mine nominated me for the GBMC Compassionate Caregiver Award for all of the families and staff and patients I have cared for over the years as a neonatal physician.  She collected many letters of support from many families and I was overwhelmed with the gratitude and honorable regard in which they wrote.  These words from colleagues and patient families touched my heart in unbelievable and immeasurable ways.  I'm grateful to God that He blessed me with the ability to be compassionate, caring, empathetic, and loving towards others.  I'm grateful to receive this award and just as Cinderella's mother taught her and Ellen ends all of her shows - one basic human element we can all share with others - BE KIND!

Cynthia also won a compassionate caregiver award (1st runner up) and the NICU has been nominated for the overall national compassionate caregiver award. We should find out in fall where we placed. 

BRAND NEW SWIRLY BIRD - A HAPPY HELLO!

I'm happy today because my SWIRLY BIRD stamp set came in this past week.  I was able to preorder the companion SWIRLY SCRIBBLE framelits (can you say Double and Triple MUST HAVE???!!!) and I wasn't too excited initially about the stamp set. Well, Pinterest and SU! samples have changed my mind. Just google SWIRLY BIRD and SU! or look on Pinterest or Instagram, and you are going to find amazing samples.  I just had to have the stamp set.  The sailboat alone was worth the stamp set, but the swirls are so cool and really "hot" right now.  Here's my first stamped card with this stamp set.  Look for more from me using this bundle and remember there is an additional 10% off when you buy the bunde, which I didn't get, because I purchased them separately.

The SU! colors I used for this card are CUCUMBER CRUSH for the base and the green, NEW IN COLORS Dapper Denim, Flirty Flamingo (also used as card stock underneath the white ultrasmooth I stamped on), and Sweet Sugarplum.  These New In colors and last year's in colors go so well together.

All of the SU! colors are WONDERFUL!

SPECIAL Z- FOLD SU! FATHER'S DAY CARDS

Our family sent all of the father's and men in our families this father's day card. I used DSP from the Occasions Catalog that just retired and the Saleabration Stamp set SOARING.  I love the airplane.  I also used some other SU! stamps.  This is such a fun fold card to make.  Wishing all of the father's, grandfather's, stepfathers, uncles, dad's, brother's, foster father's, any fathers and all men - a Very Happy Father's Day.

This card can be duplicated and instead of Father's Day, it can be a Birthday card.

REMARKABLE STAMPERS BLOG TOUR - JUNE - TIME TO GRADUATE

 One of our fellow Remarkable Stampers is giving her step son a graduation party.  I didn't have one family member graduate this year - which in my large family - I just can't believe - so I thought I would make him a card.  I've been wanting to use my Stampin Up! stamp set CELEBRATE TODAY which is carrying over into the NEW CATALOG which is NOW LIVE.  I love these balloons.  The envelope uses a saleabration set but that's ok.  I keep many of my sets and keep using them.
