NEW EMBOSSING FOLDER FROM SU!

SU! has released it's new Summer Mini Catalog as you are now well aware of (see link on right to view all that is in new mini catalog if you have not received one by mail).  I am in love with the new Big Shot embossing folder - Flower Garden (exclusive to SU!). Here is one of my cards using the new folder.  Watch for some cool things being done by SU! friends and demonstrators being posted with this folder, all over the web.

I sent this card to my mother.  I know she loved it.  I also used the stamp set Nature Walk (bird cage on inside of card, bird on label on front with egg - both from occasions mini catalog) and Clearly For You (birds inside birdcage, adorable ladybug and "for you" sentiment - also from occasions mini catalog).  I also used SU! Taffeta seam binding which I love and which is great for mailing cards because it doesn't add bulk.  (Thanks Linda K. for that great tip!).

NEW MINI CATALOG COMING

There will be a new mini catalog coming your way from SU!  Most of you have probably received it already!  It has some great new product inside.  I used the new embossing folder on this card as well as 2 stamp sets that we will be saying goodbye to on April 30th (this Saturday) - called Nature Walk and Clearly for You!  If you haven't picked these up yet, there is still time to order.  Email me today or go to my shop now on my website!
While you are there, check out the fun classes for May!

I also used vanilla taffeta seam binding which I love.  Some of these will be continued into the next ordering period, but I'm not sure about the vanilla - so consider getting yourself an extra roll while you can!

SALEABRATION STAMPING USING THE BLISS STAMP SET AND SWEET AND SOUR SPECIALTY PAPER

We had a really great gathering of our crafting friends last night.  Linda Murphy hosted us in her home for dinner and then we headed over to Sandi's to stamp.  One of the cards we made used the Bliss stamp set that you can earn for FREE from Stampin Up! with a Sale-a-bration purchase!  I love this stamp set.  We also used the SU! Specialty Designer Paper called Sweet and Sour!  I love the rose red and pumpkin pie combination.  Here are photos of all the different versions of the card and all of the ladies who stayed to stamp with us!  2 New friends - Rachel and Jackie - joined us for the first time.  They loved it and we loved having them.
This first photo shows one of the cards that I made using not only the Bliss stamp set but also the set Clearly for you!  It's a great set that compliments the Bliss set.  We made the card with a slight vintage feel by adding the SU! pearls and the music notes (see the hint of those on the card? - I learned how to put them on with the wheel from my colleague Kim Van Diepen who also showed me how to distress the edges of the card).  This card just screams color and spring!
This is another version of the card.  I stamped the butterfly in pumpkin pie ink on another piece of card stock and cut it out so it looks like it could fly off the page.  I also added crystal effects to these cards and dazzling diamonds and the rose red satin seam binding.  SU! now sells this great embellishment in several of SU!'s favorite colors! The flourish I stamped is from the Bliss set. It is such a great accent stamp or it can provide the focal point!
This is our hostess - Linda Murphy.

This is me!  Linda K took this photo of me.  Notice the envelope?  The butterflies are in flight!

Here is what is included in this BLISS stamp set which you can earn for FREE in either wood or clear mount.

This Bliss stamp set is so cool!  The project ideas are really cool. I'll be posting more of them soon!
Also really cool is this SU! Designer Series Paper called Sweet and Sour. Look at the yummy colors and the designs you get in the pack! Notice that papers are EMBOSSED on one side!  So cool!

BRAND NEW SU! DIE IS AWESOME!

This new die for the Big Shot is Awesome.  Look at this fabulous project we made at Janet Wakeland's home the other day.  I absolutely love it!  I'll show the gals on Saturday how to make this!  You can get this die now. It is advertised in the Occasions Mini Catalog!  And is the Fun Flowers Die.  Get this die!  You will not be sorry you did!

I die cut the flower pieces from Blushing Bride (new In Color) and sponged the edges with real red ink.  I added SU! embellishments - button, linen thread, pearl, new key, tag from mini tag punch stamped with for you from the clearly for you stamp set!

I love this project!  You can bet I'll be making a few of these for gifts!

DIVA DAY SHARE 1

I participated in Diva Day at my upline Janet Wakeland's craft studio in December.  She had a lot of the NEW SU! mini Occasions Catalog stamp sets and supplies and designed some great cards for us to make.  This one was one of my favorites and I thought I would share it.

This is a Brand New stamp set called  Clearly For You.  Notice the Fabric on the Big Shot Die Cut Top Note is embossed.  Yes!!!! you can emboss Fabric!  Jan told us to mount the fabric first to card stock and then to emboss it with the Big Shot!  Wow! Another great use of the Big Shot!!!  I was so amazed with this new technique.  The Fabric is new and called Springtime Vintage!  Wait til you see the other fabric in the new Occasions Mini Catalog!

The New Mini catalog also has new Big Buttons (yes!) fabric covered buttons and more!  The new striped background designer paper is called  Springtime Vintage and coordinates with the new fabric.  I'm so excited!
