HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS - REMARKABLE STAMPERS BLOG TOUR

Once September rolls around and the children go back to school it's time to think about the holidays - SU! has everything you need to create great projects.  This month the REMARKABLE STAMPERS would like to show you some holiday bundles you can save money on so you can craft away.  I am using the FESTIVAL OF TREES BUNDLE (see lower down in my post for what's included) from the MAIN IDEA BOOK (note:  my SU! order for the NEW HOLIDAY catalog items just arrived and I didn't have time to use them, but you will see them next month. THIS HOLIDAY BUNDLE is CURRENT from SU! and you may even have it already.)

My sample this month is a POP UP fold card that you can easily send in the mail.  Your recipient can pop it up to look like this.
The colors I used for the project are Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey Real Red and Whisper White.  I used coordinating card stock and inks.

The photo below shows how this looks flat and it fits nicely in an A2 standard envelope for cards that are 5.5 by 4.25 inches.  Although not completely flat in the photo, it does completely close down with the top portion sliding inside.
Here's the same card with a different sentiment on the front and then a side view.  I used some of our 1/8 inch gold taffeta ribbon and also some of the red ribbon that is still on the CLEARANCE RACK.  You can't tell from the website how beautiful this ribbon is until you see it.  A friend of mine purchased a few rolls and when I opened the order and saw the ribbon, I had to have it for holiday crafting especially and the reduced price was definitely worth it.

Price: $6.95 original - marked down to just $2.79   ON CLEARANCE RACK at SU!
Need a gift idea at the last minute? Just wrap an empty box with this silky smooth ribbon and watch the recipient just sit there and admire it. 10 yds.

And here is the side view.
Here is the original pattern I created from a card similar to the one I made above (from many years ago).  Click on it so you can enlarge it and see where to fold and cut.  The cardstock is 8.5 by 5.5 - so just take a regular sheet of cardstock and cut it in half then use your SU! scoring board to create the fold lines. You do need your SU! paper trimmer to cut the center portion out.

Below I show what's included in the FESTIVAL OF TREES Bundle by SU!.  I absolutely love this bundle because not only is it reasonably priced to begin with, it's also 15% off additional when you buy the stamp set and punch together.  You can stamp the images and punch them out, or you can punch out trees using designer paper or card stock.  I've also seen the tree altered using the punch to make a smaller tree.

  1. I really like this card. How did you get the texture on the mossy meadow? I would love to case this for my upcoming class.
