Welcome back!
REMARKABLE STAMPERS PINWORTHY BLOG TOUR!
This month we are sharing how we CAPTURE THE MOMENT. There are so many ways to keep your memories and showcase them. This past Saturday was National Scrapbook Day and scrapbooking is one way to showcase memories. Also, SU! recently announced a partnership with Becky Higgins LLC and PROJECT LIFE - which is another way to preserve memories. If you follow my blog or check out other posts I've done, I have some Project Life and scrapbook pages and mini book pages recently. (check back through my previous posts.)
Another way to showcase memories is to put them on a card or craft project which I have done for you today. Have you seen this FILMSTRIP stamp from SU!? It was one of the first stamps from the current Idea book that I had to have because I take so many photos. I wanted the stamp set for my personal use. Well, I've used it personally, but have never posted anything to my blog using this stamp set. So, today is the day!
I got this idea to cut apart the INDEX SHEETS I received when I had photos developed of a trip to Hawaii that I earned a few years ago from SU! I thought - here's a cool way to showcase these images on a card or craft! Just cut them out and put them in a stamped image of the FILMSTRIP*. These are great for cards and memory books, and PROJECT LIFE and collage type projects. I just didn't know what else to do with these prints and would likely have just thrown them out. Why didn't I think of this cute idea before?
These photos fit perfectly in the filmstrip stamped image. The camera, the arrows and the 'You're Peachy Keen' are from the SU! set Peachy Keen (it's a stamp set in the current SU! OCCASIONS catalog that you won't want to miss! see below). The SMILE is from the SU! set HAPPY DAY! I colored the SU! rhinestone with a aquamarine sharpy. I understand that you can use the NEW BLENDABILITIES from SU! that are coming out soon to color on rhinestones, pearls and on acetate and plastic. Can't wait!
Below is what an INDEX PHOTO sheet looks like. (note: you can also print these from your home computer and smart phones put photos in Index sheets also! HINT HINT)
This next card features images from the NEW SU! stamp set WORK OF ART that I just earned at the SU! CATALOG PREMIERE. I've showcased this stamp set a few times this month. I used index photos from a trip down to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore to see our BELOVED ORIOLES play baseball. This will be a perfect card for my husband for Father's Day. The sentiment is from TEENY TINY WISHES (ok, who doesn't have that SU! sentiment set yet?)
Want some more ways you can create with photos and CAPTURE THE MOMENT? Well check out Andi's blog and then any of the others listed below will take you to awesome projects that certainly are pinworthy!
oh, and don't forget to pin my idea to your pinterest. Just hover over any photo and the Pinterest sign should come up, or better yet, pin this entire post by pinning the Pinterest button at the end of this post.
*NOTE: FILMSTRIP has just officially RETIRED from SU! I hope those of you lucky enough to purchase this stamp have it handy and will start using it. For those who do not, there are images available from SU! digitally - ON FILM and PICTURE THIS and CANDID FRAMES; as well as the digital designer papers and stamp brush/embellishment kit HAPPY LIFE.
