CHECK OUT PAULETTE HALL'S GIFTS
If you were able to attend class this past Weds at the home of Paulette Hall then you were treated to a great dinner, drinks, snacks (oh the peanut m and m's get me every time!) and some great gifts. Paulette decorated her basement party room with so many patriotic themed items she hand made and gave to everyone. I love the basket above. Paulette made these favors using the large scallop circle die for the Big Shot by SU! She die cut the scallop circle from brilliant blue card stock and with white craft ink stamped fireworks from the new July Fourth Stamp set in the SU! Summer mini catalog. Oh, these are gorgeous and very creative. Of course I loved the jelly beans inside. Paulette told us that you can buy jelly beans in individual colors for mix and match at your local Wegman's. Luckily, there is one only 20 minutes away by drive from me. And let me not forget to mention that the striped grosgrain ribbon (real red and white above) is retiring from SU! We have 5 other colors in addition to the red striped that you might want to stock up on ( old olive, pumpkin pie, bashful blue, pretty in pink and so saffron). These flowers were on all of the tables and on a shelf inside Paulette's showcase. These are also die cut with the Big Shot with an Exclusive SU! die called Flower Folds. Paulette layered each of the flowers on top of one another with SU! pop up glue dots. Now that is clever!
This photo above really showcases how gorgeous these popped up flowers are. You can put them all over the house, in your kitchen, in the guest bathroom, anywhere you want to show the red, white and blue! But hurry....Brilliant Blue is one of the card stock colors that is retiring! You will need to order that color to have on hand for these types of projects. In fact, I would pick up one of each of the Bold Brights card stock packs because all of the primary colors are in that color group and you know you are going to need those basic colors!
These pop corn goodie bags are just the bomb. These are die cut with the fancy Favor die for the Big Shot and Paulette mostly used the Timeless Type alphabet for the Big Shot to die cut the pop corn letters. Wow! Clever idea Paulette!
Now if you think the projects above were fabulous - look at these napkin holders! OMG! Paulette was so clever! Paulette used the perfect setting die for the Big Shot to create the holder part and then die cut the stars to go on top. Memorial day picnics may be over, but 4th of July is just around the corner! These are some great ideas to get you started.
