A DAY AT THE YARD - MDS

Recently, my family and I spent a day at the yard - Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland.  What a neat thing to do as a family.  We really enjoyed meeting up with our friends the Kincaid's, Sandi Haertig, and her friend.  It was a day to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness.  We enjoyed hot dogs and popcorn and sodas and watching some really cool baseball.  Can't wait to go back again.  Here's my first digital scrapbook page celebrating the day.  I mastered the page digitally using PINWHEEL PARADE from SU! MY DIGITAL STUDIO. It was a great premade page and I had very little to change. The only thing I really had to do was to add journaling. Move the background picture over a little bit and drop the photos in. So easy, so cool!

MDS PROJECT I HAD TO SHARE

I'm IN LOVE with My Digital Studio.  I just had to share this wonderful card I made.  I used the FANTABULOUS PHRASES stamp brush set from SU! to master this card which is going to be printed in 6 by 6 inch size.  I just took a premade template that MDS came with and totally redid it and designed it for me.  I love shadowing and playing with fonts and all sorts of cool things.  Do you want to learn more about MDS?  Just email me.  I do local instruction!

Other elements include the stamp brush set BLISS.  I love these butterflies.  The background designer paper is the digital version of FLIRTATIOUS!

IT'S INDEPENDENCE DAY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY USA!

EMBELLISHED EVENTS AND POLKA DOT PARADE

Here's another card that I made at my upline JANET WAKELAND's home.  This uses the BRAND NEW STAMP set called EMBELLISHED EVENTS.  It's a darling all-purpose set that every crafter would love to have.  This is such a bright and cheery card and that is mostly due to the designer paper which is BRAND NEW and comes in many colors. This paper is called POLKA DOT PARADE.  We added the miniature silver brads to the flowers on the cake and also embossed the white card stock with the DOTS embossing folder for the BIG SHOT.  Do you like the double ribbon?  It's BRAND NEW stitched grograin ribbon.  I love it!

This paper is so cool.  Look at the gorgeous colors you get!

12 sheets: 2 ea. of 6 double-sided designs in 6 colors. 12" x 12". Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White.

And here is the full stamp set.  You really have a lot of choices here.

Birthdays, weddings, holidays--there are so many things to celebrate! This eleven-piece set is filled with images to help you create projects for every happy occasion on your list. Buy an extra set for a friend!

NEW CARD AND TWO INTRODUCTORY MDS VIDEO

I wanted to share with you an easy INTRO to MDS VIDEO and a quick card that I made in MDS.  Believe it or not, this card literally took my 30 seconds.  The reason it was so quick was because the card was a premade card that I have in My Digital Studio.  It's called AUTUMN ELEMENTS. All I needed to do was call it up. So simple.  Although this is titled with a Fall theme, I think this card could be used any season of the year.  What a gorgeous card.

I then modified the card slightly and you will see that result below.

This is essentially the same card but I changed the background paper, the sentiment and the flowers.  Aren't the flowers in the center so cool?  They look like they will just pop off the page.  These are a NEW digital download for MDS called SOFT BLOOMS.

To see the basics of how to utilize MDS, here is a video from Stampin UP!

SUMMER SMOOCHES SU! CARD

I had such a great time at my upline JANET WAKELAND's home last night.  My friend Lisa Chatterjee and I visited with Jan and a few other REMARKABLE team mates.  We made all kinds of cards using BRAND NEW SU!  I saw this card by AMY CELONA and cased it almost exactly.  I love that our large oval punch fits right inside the embossed oval and that all fits in the NEW framelits.  The colors from the SUMMER SMOOCHES collection are so cheerful.  This is a fabulous card.

Look how nice the satin seam binding in daffodil delight matches the paper.  Love this card!

MOVING FORWARD-GREAT SU! STAMP SET THAT SUPPORTS RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE

Please consider supporting a REALLY GOOD CAUSE - the RONALD McDonald House.  SU! has been partnering with them to bring us great stamp sets that we can purchase that sends proceeds to this great charity.  Ronald McDonald House Charities help support families of children who have serious illnesses.  I'm really thrilled that I am a part of this great company SU! I truly believe in this charity as well.  This year the stamp set that benefits the charity is called MOVING FORWARD.  It is a really great whimsical all purpose set that you will find so many uses for.  Here's a look at some of the cards we made at BAGGIE BOOK day at JANET WAKELAND'S home.

I've used this stamp from the set before.  I think I love the bicycle the best, but then it's hard to choose between the flowers and the bird and the frog and oh, I just love all of it.  We die cut the gray card stock behind the image with the BIG SHOT framelits and embossed with the dots embossing folder.  The stitched ribbon accent is BRAND NEW RIBBON that you can purchase from SU! from the NEW IDEA BOOK. And, oh so cool...the mini silver brads fit perfectly to hold the spokes of the bicyle wheels together.

These are the components of the set above.  These are so cute, especially the squiggle above.  Stamp it with the frog and he can jump anywhere.

The card above is pretty clean and simple.  It uses our BRAND NEW designer paper and check out the center of the flower.  We have really cool NEW clear faceted buttons!  These are just the BEST.  Click on the card above to see it even closer!

The blimp is super cool.  I remember growing up.  You used to see these all the time in the sky during the summer months.  Nowadays, I think I only see them during football games.  I would love to take a ride in one of these some day.  Notice that the dsp is from the TWITTERPATED collection.  The happy birthday sentiment is stamped on our BRAND NEW punched duo ticket.  YES, we have a double ticket punch now!  This is a great punch!

Ticket Duo Punch	126883
Price: $15.95
Get your tickets! Coordinating shapes for layering and more. This boat is just darling!  Again, we have used the miniature silver brads.  This time for the top of the sail.  We have also used the NEW dsp and a new sizzlet for the BIG SHOT called DELICATE DOILIES and also the congratulations banner is die cut with the NEW banner framelits!  These are amongst my favorite new items in the NEW SU! idea book! Please help support this great cause.  You can purchase this stamp set until next May and you will still be helping the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

THERE IS NO BEST FRIEND LIKE A DOG-CARD FOR CATHY WEIR

My good friend Cathy had to say goodbye to one of her beloved best friends.  It breaks my heart to hear that it's time for an animal to leave us.  Sometimes it's for the best to end suffering, but it's not easy on us humans who love them so much.  They truly mean the world to us.  I love my doggie Luigi so much. He brings me so much joy.  I know that Cathy is missing some of her joy right now with Codey in doggie heaven.  This is the card I made for her and sent her.  It uses the D is for DOG SU! stamp set that just recently retired.  I did use the NEW SU! ARGYLE embossing folder and the NEW framelits, however.  Note that the sentiment on the bottom I truly believe to be true - A DOG WAGS IT'S TAIL WITH IT'S HEART.  There is nothing better than coming home from a long day at work and having the dog greet you with a little dance and a joyously wagging heart.  Codey, rest up now.  Cathy will someday meet you running again in heaven's greenest fields.
