WOW! Christmas and New Years are on their way. I've finally decorated here and I've just sent out my Christmas cards to family and friends. Tonight the REMARKABLE STAMPERS BLOGGERS want to share some last minute ideas. You still have time to order and get what you need from SU! The Holiday Catalog goes until Jan. 4th and for the first time ever, SU! released the list of holiday catalog items that will officially retire that day. That means once that day comes, the items will no longer be available. If you can, take some time this evening to go through the tour and then go through the holiday catalog - sip some hot cocoa by the fire, or if you are in a warm environment sit out on your deck or outside, and decide what you need to have.
My first card showcases the HOLIDAY CATALOG HOSTESS Stamp set called ANTIQUE TAGS. You have to really look at every page in the catalog or you could miss this set. It's on p. 51 and it's shown smaller than it actually is. It's designed for tags, but you could easily make cards with this set. It's so cool, because everything in the set can be punched out with one of SU!'s punches.
I added gold glimmer paper to the card and I have to say, at the holidays, you need to sparkle! I also used SU! Striped Ribbon. There are two - garden green and red. I used the red here, but the garden green would have worked also. I stamped the sentiment Happy Christmas and that is from the Stamp set OH WHAT FUN, and oh what fun it is. It's a fabulous updated Holiday sentiment set that is a definite set to have in your holiday collection.
This card features the stamp set AMONG THE BRANCHES. I love all of the sentiments for the different fall and winter holidays and I love that they are circular. I punch a lot of sentiments out and this one is perfect. I also just learned from SU! that the WOODLANDS embossing folder will return with the new catalog next May. I believe it is sold out but it was so popular that they are bringing it back. Woo hoo! So don't miss out on this coordinating stamp set.
I also featured the stamp set HAPPY SCENES which goes along with the Hearth and Home Thinlits dies. Those dies are not retiring but the stamp set is. I really wouldn't let that set get away if you have the window thinlit. As featured this past Monday, I used a new scene set from the OCCASIONS catalog coming out Jan. 5th that also works with those thinlits. You want your set complete.
The other feature of this card is the HOLIDAY FANCY FOIL DESIGNER VELLUM. It's gorgeous. The photo above doesn't even do it justice. I love the sparkle it has. There are 3 each of 3 designs and they are so beautiful. This card is simple and easy and yet elegant when you see it up close. The sentiment in the bottom corner is from the HAPPY SCENES stamp set.
And next, I couldn't complete this tour without a card featuring WONDERLAND. This stamp set is one of my absolute favorites from the HOLIDAY CATALOG. Just awesome set and the sentiments alone with that gorgeous font, make the set a keeper.
This set features gorgeous wooden snowflakes. I colored my snowflake by pressing it into the ink pad. Then I added a rhinestone. More glitz....of course!
