GUESS WHAT THIS BOX IS FROM?

Ever since I got this box of
Truvia, I had hoped I would be able to recycle it into a craft project. I decided to make this box of cards.

This box is adorable and just the right size for the 3 by 5 cards/envelopes in our
SU! catalog. I love the way it opens too.

I decorated the box with
SU! designer papers from the
Cottage Wall Collection.
I covered the box carefully and added orchid opulence scalloped edging and the butterflies that I die cut with my
SU! Big Shot. I also added some
certainly celery satin ribbon that is new to the Occasions mini catalog by
Stampin UP!
I have to tell you about the butterflies. I die cut them from the
Beautiful Butterflies die. I wanted them to pop a little more so I also embossed them with the embossing folder
Elegant Bouquet. I swiped some
SU! white craft ink over them to highlight them a little more.
The cards I made for the inside are below. You certainly can make more of them. I used the
Easter Egg kit in the
Occasions mini and it will make a lot of projects. Don't just think that kit is for decorating eggs.

The
Easter egg kit has some die cut papers that are cut to go around an egg to make an egg stand. I just used them on some of the cards. There are also these gorgeous flowers that you can
dimensionalize and ooh la la -
rhinestones!!!!
I also took out the
new rub ons from the Occasions Mini and used them on each of the cards. This butterfly is a
Big Shot die cut. Did I ever tell you how much I love my
Big Shot?
The
Easter Egg kit also has wonderful
RUB ONS as well. I used the white ones here on the celery egg stand that I turned into grass for this egg. By the way...the egg is die cut from designer paper using the
oval die for the
Big Shot. You can die cut 4 different ovals and turn them into 4 different egg sizes. I added more
rhinestones here also.
You too, can truly
"go green" with products you use in your every day life. I bet after seeing this project you will start looking around at the boxes you have in your pantry or even at those on the shelves of your local grocery store and start seeing them in a different way.
Great idea Maria - that box is perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous way to re-purpose that box. So nicely done!
ReplyDeleteGreat project. I can always use more card holding boxes (which I make out of trimmed-up cereal boxes), and I love that this one has a lid. It's super cute.
