HSIAO-HUI'S CHRISTMAS CARD

FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS

I don't want to forget to show you this card by Hsiao-hui. She used the Christmas cocoa designer flocked paper and red card stock to make this unique stair step type card. The stamp sets are snow buddies and patterned pines. You can only get these sets until January 4th, so if you want them, place your qualifying hostess set now on my website. I love Hsiao-hui's creativity. Really neat way to make this card.

GOTCHA !

THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME!
BUT...WATCH OUT FOR CATHY!
Cathy Weir really has the spirit and the truest sense of the spirit is to share yourself with others. Cathy does this really well. Below is her lovely Christmas card she shared at our exchange.
Cathy did the Easel card using Lovely as A Tree stamp set on glossy card stock. This card reminds me of all the beautiful snow we had over this past weekend.

4 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

THERE IS NO PASSING UP THIS GREAT SU! SALE

Well, not only that, but we just went through a blizzard here in Maryland with about 2 feet of snow and so I'm hoping SU! can still get delivered. We lost power here for a few hours, but it is back on. Our heat is out though - so we need to get someone over to fix that. Thermostat is reading 53 right now. yikes!

But at least Linda has her Christmas Cards done and they are truly gorgeous!

Linda used Leaf Lines stamp set for the card - a magic card. Dasher is on the envelope!
The square opening uses a SU! square punch.

When you open Linda's card, the inside design magically changes to offer her Christmas wish! My Digital Studio would also be good to use on the inside.

GETTING CLOSER TO THE BIG DAY

ONLY 5 DAYS LEFT! ARE YOU COUNTING?

All kidding aside, my Christmas tree is decorated. I just need to clean my house. I mailed some Christmas cards yesterday and hopefully will get the rest out this weekend, but it is snowing Big Time here. There are at least 5 to 6 inches on the ground and we should be getting snow for 30 hours. I have to head on into work so I'm hoping they clear the roads soon!

THE MAKING OF MY CHRISTMAS CARD

MARIA'S CHRISTMAS CARD

This is one of the Christmas cards I made this year. I cased my card from Renee van Stralen and only changed a couple of things. One was the addition of the chocolate chip corduroy button, the other was the inside of the card.On the inside of the card I also stamped the tree several times but I added the Santa and sleigh with reindeer from the wandering words stamp set from the Holiday Mini. There is still time to get this stamp before it retires and then you will have that great mailbox with the letters stamp for Valentine's day. This set is available until January 4th only!
The featured stamp set was Lovely as a Tree. Do you know that this is the most popular stamp set by SU! ? I have owned this set since I became a demonstrator. It is one of the first sets I ever bought. I have used Lovely as a Tree a lot but never as the featured stamp set.
So here is my envelope and on it I stamped the tree first and then stamped it again a few times to get lighter images as if the trees are in the background. The other stamp sets used are the reindeer from Winter post and the sentiment from Christmas Greetings.
Each of the greetings for the front of the card had to be stamped using many merry messages NOEL and the SU! punch modern label. I stamped these on shimmer paper by SU! and up close and personal this is such an added touch!
These came out really nice and was something else I added to make the card my own!
The chocolate chip modern label that is slightly larger and borders the sentiment was die cut with the movers and shapers and my BIG SHOT!
This is the set Winter Post that I also love very much!
The edges of the card stock needed the eyelet border punch and that gave a really cool effect. The other card stock color that coordinated on this card was old olive. The dsp was some left over from last year by SU!
The snowflake is punched with the snowflake punch by SU!
Here are my envelopes. I stamped each of these for the Christmas card exchange with my stamping group. For this event I made 20 cards.

6 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS

DIANA IS COUNTING THE DAYS

WITH ANY LUCK AT ALL - HER HUBBY RON
PLACED SOME SU! SURPRISES UNDER THE TREE!
DIANA'S CHRISTMAS CARD
I wanted to share Diana Hnat's Christmas Card and envelope to everyone. She did such a nice job using Snow Swirled stamp set and an older SU! Christmas set similar to a Wish for Peace.
Diana is sharing her card proudly as Lori Butler looks on.
I love Diana's laugh. She is such a sweet person and a great stamper friend!

SU! VINYL AND BIG SHOT PROJECT

GREAT GIFT IDEA BY SANDI HAERTIG FOR SU!
This was a fabulous gift idea that Sandi Haertig came up with. She modified one of the projects in the current SU! holiday mini. Sandi used decor elements and made this framed project. The packaging shown above is made using the Big Shot Alphabet Simply Serif. Great Idea and use of this alphabet for packaging. So this alphabet is not just for scrapbooking.
This is the close up. Notice how Sandi took advantage of using the Christmas Jingle designer paper for the background and used some awesome ribbons from the SU! collection to match. I absolutely love this Sandi. This makes up a very quick but awesome gift.
Well, the lucky recipient of this gift was Janet Aker. She was really pleased with the project.
Here Janet is photographed showing off her great gift. Carol Hartline is looking on and so too is Katie Ford.
The whole group is interested in seeing exactly what Sandi did to put this together and everyone thought this was a fabulous project. And you can now make any word you want
or any die cut using your BIG SHOT and the NEW VINYL colors from SU! that are on sale this week. Brand new colors include RED, pink, blues, greens, yellows, and so much more - including the new chalkboard vinyl that you can write on with chalk and even erase. See my website for the 12 days of Christmas Sale.
