STRENGTH HOPE COURAGE

To all of my friends out there experiencing  anything tough, sad, or rough in their lives - may you also have love, hope and courage.  Like the maple tree which goes through many seasons of change - may you always be blessed with strength to endure.

This is a bronze metal leaf that I added stamped punched tags to by using SU! Supplies.

REMARKABLE HOT RETREAT CARD SWAP - PART 1

I promised to share cards from the REMARKABLE HOT RETREAT I attended last weekend in Harrisburg, Pa.  I swapped with really cool stampers and crafters.  There are quite a few cards so I'll divide them into 2 posts.  Here's the first set including my card which is first.
This first card with the poinsettia is mine.  I punched the pieces and then stamped them.  Here's the inside of my card.
Below are cards I received in the swap.

Part 2 - with more cards - will be in the next post.

REMARKABLE HOT RETREAT TAG SWAP

In addition to the cookie swap we had over the weekend, we also had a tag swap and a card swap.  Today, I would like to share with you the tags I created and the ones that were swapped with mine.  I used NEW SU! Holiday DSP and also NEW embellishments including the wooden snowflakes which I colored to coordinate with the card stock colors by just pressing the wooden embellishments into my foam ink pad (pool party).  I loved this swap and hope it also continues as a yearly tradition.

These tags will make my gift packages this holiday season all the more cheerful and joyous.  I love the wine tag above which I believe Cindy G made.  I bring wine as housewarming gifts and I also make wine tags.  This will be perfect for a few friends I know.

REMARKABLE STAMPERS COOKIE EXCHANGE AT THE REMARKABLE HOT RETREAT IN HARRISBURG, PA

This past weekend many of us had another "time of our lives" crafting and playing and dressing up and having fun with our leader Janet Wakeland in Harrisburg, Pa.  I've been attending this fun crafting retreat for 6 years and haven't missed one.  Usually, there is a swap of some type at the retreat and it is one of the highlights. This retreat we had a card swap, a tag swap and a cookie exchange.  I'll be sharing everything with you this week.

Here are the wonderful cookies we exchanged.  I tried each and everyone of them and even the hand soap from Lauren Auve'.  The cookies are all delicious.  We had to package them up and add an embellishment of some type.  We were supposed to add a recipe card.  I finished my cookies the day before the swap and forgot my recipe, but it's traditional toll house Chocolate Chip.  I'm not traditionally a baker and make very few kinds of recipes.  I do have a great sugar almond cookie recipe but looks like someone did exchange that one, so good thing I did the chocolate chip.

This was such a fun idea for a swap.  I hope we will continue to do this at every fall retreat.

Thank you to all of those who swapped and thanks Janet, Missy, Deb and Linda for hosting us!
