LET'S MAKE FLOWERS!

Spiral Flower Originals Die by Stampin' Up!

This is an amazing NEW PRODUCT from SU!  It has just arrived with the NEW SU! OCCASIONS catalog.  I just purchased my SPIRAL FLOWERS die for the BIG SHOT and made my first flower.  I'll try to upload it later.  But here's the NEW die in action.  Check out the SU! You Tube Video showing more.

Learn the easiest way to make a perfect paper flower. Paper flowers are beautiful but cutting them by hand is tedious, especially if you're making a bunch. Now you can cut a flower in seconds with the Spiral Flower Originals Die and Big Shot. And you can cut multiple sheets at one time or use different materials. After the flowers are cut, just roll and adhere. Make one, make a ton—either way, you'll be done in no time! Buy it now at http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=129379. If you live outside North America, go to http://www.stampinup.com and choose your country from the drop-down list in the upper right corner. To shop, choose "Store" at the top of the page. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BROTHER JOE! THIS CARD'S FOR YOU! BRAND NEW SU!

Here's the BIRTHDAY card I made for my brother Joe, using all BRAND NEW SU! STARBURST SAYINGS stamp set and coordinating STARBURST framelits, and also NEW - ARROWS TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS - EMBOSSING FOLDER.

I also used one of my SU! wheels and I used the SU! ENVELOPE MAKER to make the envelope. The MAKE A WISH  and the stars are from the NEW SU! stamp set PERFECT PENNANTS  and my pennant on the card is from the coordinating PENNANTS framelits and I embossed the starburst behind the stamped imaged with the SCRIPTED TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS folder.

I think it's pretty cool to receive a handcrafted and bold colored envelope in the mail.  The Happy birthday is from the NEW PHOTOPOLYMER stamp set by SU! called COUNTLESS SAYINGS.

The starbursts and arrows are really HOT right now.  Coordinating stamp sets are really cool! Way to Go SU! with the HOT NEW ITEMS from the OCCASIONS catalog.

Hope your day is really Great Joe and that your year is even better!

COUNTLESS SAYINGS photopolymer stamp sets: - Note - there are 2 different ones.  I used COUNTLESS SAYINGS 2, but you want both of them!

TEMPERATURE DROPPING TO SINGLE DIGITS IN BALTIMORE - UPDATED MDS PAGE OF SNOW AT OUR HOUSE

We got about 6 inches of snow and the wind is blowing. Arctic like temps coming down from Canada are bringing temps to the single digits and we are supposed to ping pong between single digits and the teens today.  So if you don't need to go anywhere and you are in the area, get back in bed or under some warm comfy blankie.  Here's a companion page to the one I posted earlier.  We have some more snow since the photos he took last pm.  Hubby was out very early shoveling. I thank him for being such a dear and going out in that cold.

IT'S WINTER - FIRST SNOW HERE FOR 2014

It's snowing here in the Greater Baltimore area.  Really pretty coming down.  Today, however, we are in for an arctic blast of cold air.  It will be about 11 degrees or less.  Yikes!  That's cold.  Here's a quick MDS page I made last night around dusk.  I got some pretty pictures.  Some looked almost black and white.  Everything is always so peaceful and quiet during a snowfall.

RAVENS GIFTS FOR AMANDA

The Baltimore Ravens may have WON the SUPERBOWL last year, but unfortunately they are not going this year ;(  That's ok!  We are still LOVING OUR RAVENS.  This year for Christmas I made my friend AMANDA some RAVENS items for CHRISTMAS, including her CHRISTMAS CARD. AMANDA and her hubby are die hard fans!

One of the things I really wanted to do was to decorate a Yankee candle for her.  She loves scented candles and this one had a really cool grape scent.  I used MDS by SU! to print the RAVENS papers.

I used a variety of SU! dies, embossing folders, framelits and coordinating purple ribbons and toile to decorate the project and the ornament hanging from the candle.  I had a lot of fun making this project.

I used the BIG SHOT BOWMAKER die to make this RAVENS customized bow and the CHRISTMAS CARD below.

I even made the envelope with MDS RAVENS dsp I created and the ENVELOPE MAKER by SU!

I had to search online for the cool RAVENS COOLER you see in the photo below.

It's a nice size, too!

I even got Amanda a cool RAVENS heart shaped necklace and made her a headband to wear for the games.  She is all set for the RAVENS in the 2014 SEASON!

Coming next week, I have another candle I decorated for my friend Sandi for her birthday.  I'll be sharing that on the 7th.  The candles are a lot of fun and once all of the pieces and parts are made, decorating the candle is easy and fun.
