NOTHING LIKE THE OCEAN

Here's an MDS page of Bill and I on our dolphin watch!  It was an amazing tour we took down in Marco Island.  JP took this great picture of us relaxing on the cruise.  I mastered this page digitally using SU! MDS.  The stamp brush sets are BOARDWALK and BY THE SEASHORE. 
The background has a splattered overlay that I downloaded from SU!  Isn't it cool?

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ALEX!

My nephew ALEX just turned 1.  Hurrah!  He's such a cute boy.  Here's a card I made for him to help celebrate the Awesome day!  I made the card first in MDS (My Digital Studio) by Stampin Up!

I actually printed this off on SU! whisper white card stock and then adhered it to Bermuda Bay card stock for a nice colorful background.  I LOVE my digital studio and making hybrid cards (combination of digital and hand paper crafted)!

SU! CHEERFUL CARDS

Recently, we had parties for 2 co-workers who were completing there stint at work.  One was a fabulous audiologist who is moving on to the ENT dept. and one was a fabulous physician who is going to train in Neonatology where I did my fellowship - Johns Hopkins!  I wanted to give them cheerful cards.  The designer paper is from the SUMMER SMOOCHES collection by SU!  The blooms are stamps from the BRIGHT BLOSSOMS stamp set by SU!  and the sentiment is from the stamp set FRIENDLY PHRASES.  I added some twine and buttons and embossed the card stock.
We are going to miss these ladies but wish them well as they start their brand new future.

Each coworker was just simply wonderful!

NEW SU! DAYDREAM MEDALLIONS CARD

I just made this card using MDS (My Digital Studio) by SU!  It's an awesome digital program.  This is a premade card that I altered.  It originally was a Thank You card but I wanted a Birthday card.  We have lots of birthdays in July!  I added the soft blossoms that look so 3 dimensional.  This card will be sent off to one of my dear friends.

BY THE SEASHORE - NEW SU!

I love this NEW stamp set by SU! called BY THE SEASHORE.  I made this card while I was at Janet Wakeland's home stamping the night away with lots of NEW SU! product.  This set is so perfect for cards and crafts that need to have that SUMMER FEEL.  And, living in Maryland, this set is a MUST as we are famous for CRABS.  I glittered this card with Stampin Dazzling Details - a great glitter glue product that SU! is producing.  The colors I used are POOL PARTY and MIDNIGHT MUSE.

MORNING POST ALPHABET

Here's a great way to use alphabet stamps - stamp your envelopes with the person's name on them.  This is certainly what I call HAPPY MAIL.  I used the BRAND NEW alphabet stamp set called MORNING POST.  I earned this FREE during sale-a-bration  - thanks to all of my wonderful customers, this is one of several items I earned FREE.  I knew right away when I had a choice of stamps to choose from that I would choose this set.  I made this envelope to go with the card in the post below that I mailed to my friend Linda Murphy.  I forgot to post the envelope.  So here it is.

Here's a tip - it's not easy to line up letters in a straight line to stamp them.  I stagger my letters and on this envelope all of the letters are the same ink color - the NEW IN COLOR - PRIMROSE PETALS. Alternating letters were "stamped off" once to get the lighter color of the same shade  The flowers are mostly from the NEW promotional SU! stamp set REASON TO SMILE.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA MURPHY

My dear friend Linda Murphy celebrated her birthday this past Sunday - July 8th.  I would be remiss if I didn't wish her a happy one  This is the card I sent her last week.  I heard she was without power after the bad storms that hit the east coast a little over a week ago.  Reminds me of the time that we had a wind storm and it left her without power on a night that we had a SU! workshop.  We had to work by candlelight.  Too funny!

I made this card by embossing BRAND NEW SU! DESIGNER PAPER called FLORAL DISTRICT.  I just love these poppies.  The paper is embossed using the fancy fan folder which is also BRAND NEW.  The happy birthday banner is also NEW.  New stamps and framelits.  I also used some rhinestones at either end of the sentiment.

The designer paper strip at the bottom of this inside is the back of the poppy paper.  Both sides are so pretty.  The sentiment is from the SU! stamp set BRING ON THE CAKE!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HSIAO-HUI LIN

One of my best friends - Hsiao hui Lin - has a birthday coming up!  I am thrilled for her.  She is such a sweet and kind person and deserves only the BEST!  I wanted to make her a fun but special birthday card.  I just bought BRAND NEW SU! framelits called FLORAL FRAMES.  I die cut these and embossed them with my SU! BIG SHOT.  These are the melon mambo and whisper white flowers.  SO COOL! Love the framelits.  We used these at my class this past Tuesday night and I'll need to have a future post showing what we made.  But you get the idea of how these cut in the card I made below for Hsiao hui.

The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the NEW BANNERS stamp set and I die cut it with the banners framelits.  The background card stock is pool party that I heat embossed with the dots large stamp wheel by SU! and tempting turquoise embossing powder.  The pink pirouette grosgrain ribbon is also SU!  The little girl with cupcake is not SU!  but was so adorable and I colored her and glittered her with markers and our SU! dazzling details glitter glue.
