QUEEN FOR A DAY SCRAPBOOK PAGE

Last weekend - the one before mother's day - I was on a fabulous scrapbooking retreat.  Friday's theme was the Royal Wedding.  Our make and take the next day (day after we wore our tiara's and dressed up for the wedding) we made this great scrapbook page to show ourselves off.  The original design is by our leader Janet Wakeland.  I love this page!
Jan certainly made us feel like a queen that day.  I love how we used ribbons, paper flowers, our Big Shot, great new dsp, MDS print outs, and jewel embellishments.  Do you see the hanging crown at the top of the page?  Oh, and Pat N, you will be proud of me for journaling on this page in my own handwriting.  Pat is my CM scrapbooking coach and a great SU! customer!

MDS STRENGTH AND HOPE - PROCEEDS TO BCRF

SU! is donating the proceeds of it's Strength and Hope Stamp sets and digital downloads to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) .  This is a card I made that I'm going to print with this month's promotion - 30% off digital printing!  yeah!   Coming Soon, myself and a few other demonstrators will hopefully be adding to this by teaching a special card class and will be selling some homemade cards.  Watch for more info coming soon!
These images are great.  I love this card!  I will be sending it to several friends and family members touched by breast cancer or any type of cancer.

MY NIECE RECEIVES HER FIRST HOLY COMMUNION TODAY

Today my niece received her first Holy Communion.  What a Beautiful Day!
I made her card by stamping the images and sentiment and watercoloring the image with my SU! watercolor crayons.  I also spritzed some shimmer glitz on the card too!
This is my niece Pauline and my son JP.   Pauline looked like a little bride today. So beautiful!
This is a photo of my niece Pauline and her wonderful family!  They looked great today!

MY MOTHERS DAY CARD FOR MY MOM

This is the card I made for my mom.  I used lots of SU! card stock, dsp, my Big Shot, and SU! pearls.  I die cut the Happy Mother's Day, but not with the Big Shot.  We are having a dinner party for my mom at my brother Joe's tonight.  I also made my mother a pennant banner using some of the same supplies.  The flowers are made from the boho blossoms punch by SU!

TALENTED DEB L. WINS MUMS THE WORD CONTEST

While on the Remarkably Hot Retreat - we had a swap for mother's day cards - appropriately titled MUMS THE WORD.  I loved all of the cards I received.  There was one that I agree was certainly outstanding.  It was this swivel card by Deb Lehigh.  (Deb is the talented sister of the talented Linda Nagle from the last post.  Wow! Creativity certainly runs in that family).  I can't wait to case this card - maybe for father's day or for an upcoming birthday. It's a really neat card!

When this card is swiveled closed, it is one circlular card that fits into an envelope for mailing.  Love it!

Here is another great project from Linda Nagle worth casing!  I love these flowers!  Linda presented this at the Remarkably Hot Retreat! This was done on canvas and she used SU! fabric for the curtains!  She also used SU! brads in the center of the flowers!  So cool!

I love the butterflies also.  They were die cut with the Big Shot - SU! exclusive Butterfly die!
Thanks Linda for sharing your projects with us!

LINDA'S REMARKABLE RETREAT PROJECTS WORTH CASING

As you know I just came back from the most wonderful scrapbooking retreat - the Remarkably Hot Retreat!  The weekend was incredible!  One of the best things about the retreat is sharing ideas and projects.  Linda Nagle is never short on ideas to present.  Although she said that she herself CASED these projects, they are certainly worth CASING from her.  (CASE - copy and selectively edit - in case you are wondering!)  These would make great gifts!  I love her use of color and design.  If you love these, watch for more projects from the retreat this week!

MEET MOTHER THERESA, THE POPE, AND THE STAMPIN SISTERS

We had a lot of fun this weekend on our Remarkably Hot  Scrapbooking Retreat.  We were asked to decorate a table as one of our favorite cities.  We chose Rome. Of course Vatican City is a big part of that so we decided to dress as the Pope, Mother Theresa and the stampin sisters and sing!  Here is our video.

It was one of the best retreats ever.  We really enjoyed crafting all weekend, spending time with friends, and just enjoying what we love to do - stamping and scrapping!  The next one is in October and it is open to everyone, but space is limited.

Here are some photos from the event.
I was the Pope of course!  I loved every minute of it and my costume was worth the price - all the gold!!!!
Deanna Wolfe and Jill Hilliard were part of the Stampin Sisters!  They were at my table last time and we have been plotting since the last retreat!
Sandi Haertig is in this photo with Deanna Wolfe.  Cindy Geskey sat next to Sandi but Cindy needed to work on some graduation invites.  Notice my little pope paper doll in the lower left hand corner of the photo?  We each had these at our seats.
This is a group shot.  From left to right - Cindy Geskey, Maria Pane, Sandi Haertig, Deanna Wolfe in the back and in the front Jill Hilliard next to Mother Theresa of Paper Calcutter - Lisa Chatterjee!  Do you like our Personalized Chianti bottles?  I'm holding mine!

Oh, this was so much fun.  I'm going to post more photos and also some projects from the weekend in the next few posts.  I also have some neat mother's day things to share.

SHELLI'S STRENGTH AND HOPE VIDEO

Please watch this video from Shelli Gardner on the SU! Faith and Hope campaign that starts today.
Please let me know if I should order you a stamp set so that you can help us at SU! help breast cancer research.  We have all been touched by this disease in some way. Together, hopefully we can make a difference.
